Though this is called a Kids Snow Shovel, it's not just for kids. I've used a small shovel for a few years, taking it with me in my car on snowy days, just in case. I'm 76 and it's nice to have an alternate to the big shovels, easier on my heart and body. When a previous small shovel broke (cheap construction), I ordered two Garants from Amazon--one for the car, one for the house. They are brightly colored one-piece heavy plastic construction; the snow doesn't stick. I still use my larger shovel at times, esp for big spaces, but in a pinch or small space, nothing beats the kids size.

My 3 1/2 year old son loved the shovel. It's made of all plastic so there are no parts to loosen and fall off or break; and it's solid too. The shovels will be used for years. The shovel was too big for my 2 year old, which I thought it would be. She could hold it but not use it.

okay, that's a weird title but it really is great for adults who shouldn't try to shovel too much. It's awesome for the kids. the only drawback would be that it should have a longer handle if you are over 5'6" to be comfortable. I can shovel with the this little shovel quicker than a regular snow shovel. I had one and then my kids kept taking it so I bought three more - now there's no fighting over the shovels!

We ordered this for my 1.5-year-old son. We got a pink one in the mail-- not a problem for us yet. We'll see whether he cares when he's 3 or 4.

Judging from others' reviews, I kind of wonder if they have way too many pink ones left in stock and are sending pink ones to everyone here as our "random color" :).

But it's a good quality! Well made. I am not worried about it snapping even with heavy snow. It's all one solid piece, so there is not much likelihood of failure.

I have purchased several kids sized snow shovels for my grandsons and would often see them broken or MIA when I visited, then one year I found one of these Garant Shovels locally as a replacement again, and it has held up to everything! Even their dad commented on how great a little shovel it was, saying the boys shoveled with him over an hour and he himself has used it for small jobs.. I just ordered two more!

We also use our little shovels as a 'dust pan' when sweeping out the garage. The grandsons are happy to help!

I am an adult who lives in a rental building that does not have a live-in super. If the weather turns bad it is often several hours before he shows up to shovel the stairs and walk. I am out several times with the dogs and wanted an inexpensive option to use myself. This is a pretty sturdy little shovel and it's pink which I'm sure will prevent anyone from walking off with it.

Bought this for our 3 and 1/2 year old. Perfect size for him. The shovel is sturdy. He had no issues shoveling some crusty snow and he leaned and sat on it a couple times as he was playing and the shovel took the abuse with no problem. I looked at quite a few small shovels and for the price I am happy with this purchase.

Shovel is Meh. I don't know what I was expecting for an inexpensive kids shovel. I bought this for my sun and seems sturdy enough, Be careful since the colors are random. I received a pink one for my boy. He was less than impressed so it was regifted to a girl in the family.

The shovel seems to be of a good quality... however, I wasn't given a color option during purchase. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal as any one of the colors shown in the photo would've been fine (green, blue, red, and the orange or black colored ones in the back) so my 4.5 year old son was excited when the box came. He couldn't wait to see HIS snow shovel and couldn't wait to use it in a couple months to help his daddy outside. Once the box was opened his smile vanished when he saw the bright pink shovel. I tried to explain to him that it wasn't his sisters and that boys can have pink things just like girls can have blue... but no matter how I tried to spin it his disappointment didn't waiver. I guess we'll just get used to it... just wish I would have had the option to select a color as it would have made this review 5 stars instead of 1.

We received this shovel yesterday and as a few others commented, we surprisingly received a pink shovel. It would have been nice to choose the color as our almost 5 year old boy is not that excited about it being pink. I actually don't even see a pink one on the display box pictured. We've explained to him that just because things are "pink" or "blue" that it doesn't mean it has to be used by just boys or girls, but I think as he's gotten a bit older the kids at school really do stick to the "pink" and "blue" rule. Although we haven't used it in the snow it looks sturdy and durable. I would have given it 5 stars if you were able to pick a color. A drop box with a color choice would be perfect. Even if pink is the only color available I'm sure it would be a good seller!
