Although the title says this fountain is solar, it is electric only. Arrived quickly and in excellent condition, bigger than we expected. It works fine and the bird wading deck is a nice addition. The pump does need to be kept clean and the whole fountain benefits from a good cleaning now and then. Unfortunately, mosquitoes (our local Asian Tiger Demons) didn't mind reproducing in it so we're having to put it away. It is a nice little fountain.

We have owned this fountain for over 8 years. It was a great purchase at $150 less then the current price. It is sturdy and durable (it's been through Hurricanes Charlie, Jean, Wilma, and the May Floods of 2008) and still works great. You can find this fountain and save yourself a great deal of money by shopping your local home improvement stores. You should clean the pump monthly. To prevent mosquitoes, monthly use an algae solution which your home improvement stores sell for about $10. Our bottle has lasted through an entire year. The sound of the water falling is so relaxing after a long day at work. It is just outside our patio, and I enjoy listening to it as I read. Excellent purchase but you can find better deals elsewhere.

This item is listed several places on the internet and there is not any obvious warning that it is NOT solar. The manufacturer even uses the deceptive title of Smart SOLAR. I asked them about this when I called to complain about not receiving a solar panel hookup and basically received the really DUMB answer that they also manufacture non-solar items. This company should be investigated along with any site showing their products. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE OF ANY PRODUCTS FROM SMART SOLAR. If I could have used a minus star rating I would have. They don't deserve anything as high as a one star rating.

This waterfall is a nice addition to our yard. It comes in two pieces and has a pump in the back. It works well but you do have to clean out the filter on the pump every once in a while to keep the water flowing well. Make sure you empty it in winter as any water freezing in the fountain has the potential to crack it. All the kids on our street love coming down to see the water.

It is not a very big waterfall but seems very solid and it only comes in two pieces so it is easy to assemble and easy to clean. It makes a pleasing sound and birds love it.

The package, when received was in good condition,but when i opened
the package,I found the product (fountain) not in good order.

Bottom section was cracked about a foot in length,
and the top section, the water tube was not there.
Did a little improvising,repair and made it work.
I don't recommend purchasing anything from this company.
Company should have inspected product before shipping.

P.S. very unhappy consumer.

Birds love it. Only bad thing is no drain on the bottom. I put one . Makes it easy to empty and clean.

Thank you for your honest reviews. I called Amazon and reported to them how the item was advertised. I asked them to cancel my order, which they did. Thank you for the advise.

Even tho it says Smart Solar but is actually by electric power, so it misleads people thinking that is by solar. Scam!!!!! don't buy it if u want a solar fountain!!!!! cuz it is NOT!!!!
