These solar lights work really well, and I am glad that I got them! There are two small solar lights in the box that come with some stakes that you can attach to the lights then stick into the ground. Once in the ground, the lights will absorb sunlight throughout the day, then at night they will glow, changing from red light to green to blue in no particular order. When the light is changing colors, you might catch a slight hint of purple or cyan or yellow, but the light will mainly focus on the main colors of red, blue, and green. The one problem I have with the lights is that sometimes when it rains, the water will leak into the light, and that light will stop working. But as soon as you pour the water out, by turning the light upside down, the light will start working again. Now, water doesn't leak in often, maybe once or twice a year, but it is an annoyance when it does. Also, if you are expecting these lights to light up a path or something to walk on, they won't do that; they are mostly for decoration, but I didn't find that a bad thing. One last thing is just a obvious note that on cloudy and rainy days, they probably won't light up that night from lack of sunshine, but that can't be helped! Overall, these are some very pretty solar lights that I absolutely recommend for decoration!

EDITED TO ADD - Although I did enjoy these lights while I had them, they only lasted 1 year before they stopped working. I just wanted to edit this in order to give potential buyers an idea of how long these will possibly work for depending on your conditions.

All of these lighted garden products seem to be quite fragile - poor overseas manufacturing. I returned a previous set from another manufacturer (the globes on a stick - don't buy 'em) who was 0 for 4. This time, I bought two 2-packs, one worked for a few hrs then quit and magically, after 5 days in full sun (and a bit of jiggling) it started up again. Poor soldering perhaps? It's still working after two weeks, but I dare not touch it!

I bought two pairs of these and was completely satisfied. They look GREAT in front of my rose garden.

I have bought several of these and they make a really nice accent piece in our solar lighting scheme. Seems like our solar lights just keep expanding and so does the area where we place them. Many of them (and I've bought a lot over the past year) have been hit or miss, but still fun to experiment with. These lights are no exception. There is not much to them, they're relatively small and not all that sturdy, but I still like them and for the price (now 7.75 for a two pack) why not? Can't say I would place them among my favorites in terms of quality or light output, but I have no problem with the purchase.

I purchased two sets of two lights. Initially, I was happily surprised when they arrived because despite reading the dimensions and knowing how big they were, they still seemed larger than what I expected. I did all the necessary set-up regarding the power switch and removing the plastic tab that prevents the battery terminal from touching the battery. And of course I removed the protective layer from the cell so nothing should have interfered with it collecting sunlight. Assembled the lanterns to the stakes and placed them outside to collect roughly 10 hours of sun. Once sundown came, all four lights flickered to life in a charming display as they went thru their color cycles. Night two is when trouble started. I noticed one of the four seemed to be going dark for a few seconds and then it would resume its display. Upon further inspection, it turns out the red LED no longer works in one lantern. This simply means that any color with red (red, pink, orange etc.) no longer is displayed; Only those with only blue and/or green still function. The other problem I experienced on the second night was that one unit simply stopped working altogether. I tried putting a new rechargeable battery into the unit and still could not elicit any light to come from its LED. Essentially I got two and two-thirds instead of four working lights. I am not going to look for a return due to shipping costs and I am not convinced that I would get a new set that is trouble free. Solar lights are notorious for their fragility and I do not want to let this become an aggravating & time consuming issue for me since their are so many better things I could spend my time doing. For lanterns of this size, 20 dollars is a good deal even with the problems I experienced. Annoying but not infuriating considering the price.

Love these lights! They look great and are quite bright considering. You just need to give them a few days in full sunlight before they get to their full capacity of brightness.

I have had this item for over a week now and I can tell you that it is still working. Its easy to turn on and place. A trouble free item so far. Its not so very bright but then again few of them really are.

I purchased 4 packages of these solar lights.
Only about half of them light at night.
2 never worked and 2 others only light rarely.
When they do work they are very pretty.

Well, you get what you pay for with this one. I ordered 2 sets, and had to replace batteries in one immediately. They need FULL sun, all day long to light up, and they are very delicate. I would not reorder this item. I have all kinds of solar lights in my front and backyard. One good thing - when they do light up they have more colors than most solar garden lights.

Just as I said, not only do I like them, but friends and neighbors like them too. Afer I told them where to purchase them, they will probably be visiting the website to purchase some for themselves.
