I suppose I should have realized that for $20 I wasn't getting great lights, but this was worse than that. They are made from very light plastic, have no substance, and 3 of the 8 had the bulbs mangled in packaging and do not work. It's not worth it to me to bother returning them, but maybe I can spare you a mistake!

Okay, first you have to know what you are buying. If you are looking for lights that replace common light bulbs, this will not be for you. If you are looking for path lights that are actually bright for path lights, these will please you. The other reviews are not really fair to the product. It's like saying my scooter can't tow my boat and then giving the scooter a rating of 1 star.

These are solar lights for less than $2 a piece. You couldn't buy the solar cell, battery and LED's for that, let alone put together. That is a amazing.

The kit comes with everything you need. They even come with 16 holders so you can double their height if you wish. I might suggest that the first time you use them, throw the batteries into a nicad charger. That way you can really see how well they work and give them a fair review on how well they charge over an entire day of sunlight.

I wish I had these reviews when I purchased the lights. They give off very little light, they break easily and they don't last long. One of the lights never worked. Another two stopped working the day after I put them in the ground.

The photo of the lights here has clearly been digitally enhanced. The lights produce very little visible light. They are not going to light up an area to the point where you can see any details. You'll know there is a light there but it will be about as luminescent as a flashlight with a battery that has 30 seconds of power left in it.

Poor quality - tried to get replacement for light, whgich went out just after a couple of days and did not get any help.

I was not setting too high expectations, but even those were met with disappointment. Out of the 2 sets(8ea)about 20% did not work at all and the others would only last an hour or so with minimal lighting. I returned them for a refund.

These stopped working after a few weeks. They were cheaply made. I had to replace with walmart ones which have lasted.

I absolutely agree with the buyer who uses these for pathway lighting. I bought mine to use as a sort of pathway "nightlight". If I want to see outside I will turn on the outdoor light. FYI they do need to be charged in sunlight for about sixteen hours and if you go days without sunlight, ie overcast, then they are also dim. Come on people "solar" means powered by the sun. I'm ordering two more sets because I only used it on the walkway to my front door now I'm extending it to the length of my house. For $2 each, they're awesome and choosing between the two heights is a added bonus. They look really good at night.

only half of these lights work! i even tried changing the batteries and they still do not work.

These lights are a very good source of light for the side walk, but the only draw back is that they don't last very long.
