Much nicer product than we were expecting; The product had been purchased to keep real heron away from our koi pond and we just needed something that looked reasonable from a distance. The metal construction is solid and well done. A pleasant surprise.

The heron garden stake is a nice piece of art and looks very realistic. The only thing is that you have to spray it with a protective clear coat before putting it outside, especially if you live in a wet climate. It started to rust almost immediately until the clear coat went on.
As for being used as a heron deterrant around our fish pond, it worked-at first. The metal heron looks real enough to initially fool the herons. However, herons are smart and realized that this one didn't move. Now that we move our heron to a new location around our pond every few days, it works much better.

We're happy with our heron. I will say that the picture and description led me to assume it would be more 3-D than it turned out to be. It consists essentially of two somewhat "cupped" halves joined together, so it looks pretty three dimensional in profile, but when seen edge-on the illusion is diminished. Even so, with careful placement it is attractive, and the real heron hasn't come back so far.

Beautiful, well-made, and sturdy. While the photos show the sculpture displayed on a circular stand with metal fronds - this stand does not come with the bird and must be ordered separately (this is a drag since there isn't a link to add the stand to the order, so you have to contact the seller later and pay double shipping). Seller should not include a picture of the stand or at least make the stand available as an optional purchase. Not sure how stable the bird would be without the stand and just using it as a garden stake. Still, it is a lovely sculpture.

I bought both of the heron 6 months ago. Looks Great in my yard. Love the product. I received them within 3 days of ordering.

The product arrived on time and wrapped nicely. I will definitely clear coat it to help the paint to hold color. It is just as they describe. We bought this in hopes of keeping a blue heroin from eating our fish....supposedly they don't eat with others!!

I purchased this blue heron to place in a garden adopted by our department at the hospital where I work and have so many compliments on it. We did a Japanese theme and it fit in perfect. Makes the area seem so peaceful. Fast shipping, great details, sturdy and beautiful. Price was a little too high.
