Easter isn't just one day. The Easter season is seven weeks--a week of weeks. Similar to an Advent calendar, this sticker calendar counts the 50 days from Easter Sunday to Pentecost. Each day there is a reusable sticker to add to 'The Garden of the Good Shepherd.' The images are drawn from scripture. First, you'll find the main sticker of Jesus the Good Shepherd. Then, you will add others to the scene, including stickers showing milk and honey, rain and lightning, a lion and a lamb. During the 50 days, the scenery changes, too, with the addition of other stickers. One week we are in a pasture, the next, around a table. One week the setting is a garden; the next, a boat on the sea.

Each calendar set includes an 11'' x 17'' laminated background board, a sheet containing 51 full-color, reusable stickers, and a 16-page booklet. The board can be hung easily in the home or the classroom, or even propped on a tabletop. The stickers are printed on durable soft vinyl and may be reused year after year. The booklet acts as a guide for placing the stickers and for prayer. It includes an explanation of Eastertime stories and images from the Bible for each of the 50 days.

'The Garden of the Good Shepherd' provides the ideal way to teach young people, from preschoolers on up, about the entire season of Easter. I've had this for several years, and finally after a few false starts we actually completed this "calendar" this year. The kids love getting to place the reusable vinyl stikers on the sturdy backround. The imagery and symbolism is rich, and accompianied by references to bible verses. It encouraged us to keep celebrating the whole Easter season, which isn't practiced often enough.

This is such a wonderful resource to celebrate not only Easter Sunday, but the whole Easter season. A great reminder that Easter is not just one day of celebration, but an entire liturgical season that we should embrace and celebrate. The calendar is visually beautiful and the readings are well-written and easy to understand. Since the stickers are removable, this will be a resource we can use again and again. The kids love "finding" the right sticker for the day and the lessons of the "Good Shepherd" were perfect for our 7 year old.

I have loved using this sticker story board to show our children that Easter is more than one day. The bible stories and readings that are given for each day have really gotten my kids thinking. I really recommend this!
