My battle with itchy skin caused me to spend thousands of dollars on various medications, both external and internal. I have tried practically everything - fungal, bacterial and antihistamines, to no avail. I read many sites looking for persons with similar symptoms so I can get a cure for my itchy skin, which itched all the time but flared up more at certain times of the month. I also got a rash around my sweat gland areas - neck, armpit, groin, etc. especially after exercising. I saw many doctors for the problem, and no one was able to see what was causing the problem. I was told to bathe with baking soda, this helped but only temporarily.
I read the experience of someone on another site who said that she suffered similar symptoms, and a Naturopath recommended Fungal Defense by Garden of Life. This was my answer, it is my lifesaver, I started getting a relief from about 4 days of taking it. I am extremely grateful to the makers of this product. It worked for me, and I hope it can help others also, because I know there are many people out there who are suffering from itchy skin, which may be fungal based.

Have found this to be one of the most effective products to manage my chronic intestinal yeast issues. I use it in conjunction with another acidophilus product. I definitely feel a difference when I'm not taking it!

I think candida is responsible for stubborn throat infections and compromised immune systems.I had a case of oral thrush once and using this product helped get rid of it.It was ongoing-very hard to kill it.I was really sick for about 2 months.Then i found this amazing product.I had to change my diet too,eating mostly meat and veggies.if you lozenge the tablet and let it do its work-you should feel the difference,immediately,even if it's just a regular cold.my 16 yr old son likes to take them to for his colds too.

This is an ultimate detox. Be prepared what comes out such as skin rashes and etc. The supplement is pulling out all the bad stuff such as yeast and etc...that in your body. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

I've been using this product since I was diagnosed with IBS. I need to order it again, soon, for my son got some bacteria on his skin after taking antibiotics for a spider-bite problem and I gave him one of my bottles.
He started taking it because he saw nothing else, he's tried worked. Reluctantly, he started taking it, as indicated on the label and after three days of trying, finally his condition is improving. He said "mom, this stuff is excellent."
Indeed, Fungal Defense is excellent to clean the system after taking antibiotics or any other kind of prescription medicine or when we know, our guts are yelling for a cleanse.
100% recommended by me, "doctor mom," to clean the fungus inside the guts.
Purchased through Amazon, it is way much cheaper than at my local Health store.

I am starting my second week of this product and so far I am really liking it. I definitely notice a difference. As with reviews I have seen elsewhere, I have noticed a bit of bloating, but not enough to make me stop taking it. After all, it is designed to be taken for a short time. This is the fifth garden of life product I have taken and love them all. I tried to do other candida cleanses, but it is very difficult for me as a vegetarian since you are not allowed to eat fermented foods. Would definitely recommend this product.

I suffer from eczema and this product really helped while taking it and for about a month afterwards, so a total of about six weeks. I gave it a 5 star rating even though the results are not longterm lasting because it is still a great product. I could tell it cleaned my digestive system too, which was a bonus.

I have been taking this supplement for Candida and find that it has helped. I take approx 2 bottles and stop for a few months, then start again. The price at Amazon was a big savings from purchasing it locally.

I had high hopes for this product. After a recent visit to the doctor's office (which involved blood and stool tests), I learned that I have elevated candida levels. I didn't want to take prescription drugs because of possible side effects, so I opted for this more natural product.

After a few days on the product, I started feeling bloated and gassy (even more than I already felt from the yeast overgrowth). I didn't connect my new stomach discomfort with the product, so I continued taking it. After a few more days, I started to feel sick and nauseated after eating (in addition to having the gas and bloating). At this point, I began to suspect that the Fungal Defense was causing my problems because it was the only thing I was doing differently.

Because I really wanted the product to work, I kept taking it anyway. I managed to stick with the product for over 10 days until the gas, bloating, and nausea got overwhelming. Now that I've stopped taking it, my symptoms have improved.

The reason I'm giving this product two stars instead of one is because it contained ingredients that really do act as as antifungals. I can only hope the product did its job.

UPDATE 7/25/11: I have upgraded my rating to three starts because I think the product actually worked -- despite my awful symptoms. I have not had my candida levels tested again, but after taking the product I lost about an inch and a half from my waist (which I interpreted as a reduction in bloating). Unfortunately, I have since gained back about an inch, which is probably the return of bloating. See the comment from another person attached to this review. I think my gas, bloating, and nausea problems may have been caused by candida die off. I can't bring myself to give any more than three stars because I had such a horrible time by following the full dosage listed on the product. Despite my challenges, I may consider using Fungal Defense again in the future -- but I would take a lower dose!
