Even though I am a dude, I did an extensive amount of research on prenatals. I am a nutrition nut and would not give a supplement to my wife if I did not fully believe in its quality and efficacy. To be clear, do not allow this to replace a high quality, nutrient rich, diet. Ladies, make your man cook for you- vegatables/meat are way too easy, "I can't cook" is a poor excuse for any man to use. My wife has been taking these during her entire pregnancy and for six months prior. She is nearing the end of her pregnancy and these multivitamis have been great. She has always struggled with pills, but, she gets these down easily. With actual folate, not folic acid, and the genuine attention it appears is given to the quality of each ingredient, I am confident these multivitamins will have contributed to the development of the healthiest little girl possible. I recommended these to my sister-in-law when she found out she was pregnant and I would recommend to any other woman/couple.

If you are prone to morning sickness and have trouble swallowing pills, these are great. I dump all three into my morning breakfast shake and blend, can't even taste them. I also take a chewable B complex (B6 fends off morning sickness like you would not believe) with a low niacin content, fish oil for DHA and a chewable calcium supplement. Feel so much better on this system than I did in my first pregnancy, when I was sick for 4 months straight!

Breakfast shake:

2 frozen bananas (potassium is great for keeping preggo leg cramps at bay)
1 Tbsp mini frozen blueberries
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 Tbsp peanut or almond butter
1 tsp flax seed or flax oil
2 cups (more or less) almond milk
Contents of 3 Vitamin Code raw prenatal vitamins

I did a ton of research on prenatal and heard that these were the "best" prenatal vitamin on the market. Trying to remember to take them three times a day was hard during the first trimester when I wasn't eating on a regular schedule and was feeling sick most of the time. But now that my schedule is more regular I love knowing that I am taking the vitamins three times a day. I would suggest these to any pregnant/postpartum friend.

Since my daughter was born, I've continued to take these while I breastfeed. The vitamins pass through the milk just like everything else you put in your body so along with a good dha supplement, these vitamins are just as great for breast-feeding mothers as they are for prenatal ladies.

I'd also suggest drinking mothers milk tea for healthy lactation -Organic Mother's Milk Tea + FREE Nature's Way Blessed Thistle (100 Capsules). If you have ANY issues with producing milk the tea will definitely fix that and it also helps prevent mastitis which was one of my main concerns.

In summary, these vitamins may not be the cheapest but they do contain the highest quality ingredients and if you are a nursing mom be sure to keep taking them! P.S. A dha supplement is also recommended for healthy baby brain function.

I've taken this multi v for a couple of years now and it's a great formula. It's easy on the stomach and the capsules open easily to be mixed into smoothies. It is low on calcium but eating well will solve that. Wish there was a soy free version. Although the soy is fermented, I would still like to avoid it of possible.

I just started taking these and they seem fine. I haven't had any side effects from them. I chose this over others because of the raw ingredients and it has a high % for most of the vitamins in it. The only negative is having to take 3 pills per day.
The size was a big concern for me because I have trouble swallowing big pills. I wished there was a picture posted of the actual pill but didn't find it so I will post one. They looked bigger than I would have liked so originally I opened the capsules and tried adding it to smoothies, mixing it with juices, etc (like it says you can) but it tasted gross so I tried swallowing the pills as is and I was actually able to swallow it. The plastic coating definitely helps.

These vitamins are pricey, but they are easy to digest. I have not had any stomach issues when taking these pills as I did with Centrum one a days. Note that I take these in the evenings and all 3 at once. I also take 2 prenatal DHA capsules at the same time.

As a minor PSA, I noticed that some people misinterpret the directions, which states that "Adults take 3 capsules daily." This means you take all 3 capsules at once. If the manufacturer intended for you to take it at 3 separate times, the directions would state "take 1 capsule 3 times a day" instead. Or, like with Vitamin Code Women, it will have a caveat: "Adults take 4 capsules daily. Best when taken 2 capsules twice a day."

Love the quality, Noticed a big difference when I started taking this vitamin that it keeps you regular. Great idea to include an anti-nausea to prevent upset stomach. My husband started taking the men's vitamin code blend and he loves those too. Good price point sold on Amazon in comparison to other online stores.
