This book is a gem, beautiful photography, and a treasure trove of insights into people, strange, quirky and eccentric people that must share something with those folk on Okinawa, is gardening part of the recipe for long life ?my only complaint is that I wish this book was much, much longer!

A fabulous little book that will not only introduce you to the photographer Valerie Finnis, but all those she knew. There are absolutely fabulous gardeners here. You'll recognize names that are associated with plants you may have in your garden, from snowdrops to alpines. If you are a crazy gardener and plantsperson, or know someone who is, you must get this book.
