About the Author
Jillian VanNostrand is an R.N. and independent certified midwife who attended home births for over 15 years and now teaches midwives and other health professionals. She also owns an organic herbal mail order business, Radical Remedies, featuring herbs and recipes from the Radical Weeds series. Christie V. Sarles is Jillian's sister. She is a wild gardener and teacher, who grows herbs for Jill's business. Both sisters go barefoot whenever possible.

The book is simply a great resource for anyone who is interested in natural herbs and plants that can make ones life easier and healthier. And the illustrations make great templates for anyone who does quilting, or stenciling. The sections on Uses, Cultivation, Preparation i.e. teas, infusions, tinctures and salves are well written and easy to follow.Then as icing on the carrot cake they have an excellent Additional Resources section as well as free seeds that you can send for. I plan on buying all the books in this series.
