WINDOW BIRD WATCHING MADE EASY!!!,

This bird feeder does the trick!,
By Note that the suction cup attachment is a separate piece from the actual feeder - the feeder kind of hangs onto it. So, if you're looking for a feeder that is easy to remove and fill, this is it. However, if you need something that can withstand a strong wind and rainstorm, I'm a little skeptical - although it hasn't fallen yet!

My poor bald redbird!,

Who knew that cardinals could go bald? Well, they can! I watched my proud red friend go from glorious to pitiful in a couple of months! I didn't even know they were territorial. But they are. This is his feeder. And his wife's! (Her name's Katie.) He boldly perches on the feeder, but she's a little cautious, prancing on the windowsill instead. No matter. He showers her with seeds! I love to see him with the morning sun on him, singing with his mouth full!
Oh, and other birds, too! Purple and house finches, goldfinches (Well, greenfinches -- I never seem to see them in their breeding plumage.) siskins, chickadees, titmice, various sparrows (on the windowsill, mopping up, not on the feeder). Even a woodpecker! Who knew? For people who have trouble with it not sticking, just be sure the window glass is clean, and wash the suction cups with soap and water before applying. It should stay put unless a squirrel hops on it.

THIS FEEDER IS VERY EASY TO MOUNT ON YOUR WINDOW AND ATTRACTS A LOTS OF BIRDS. SMALL BLACK OIL SUNFLOWER SEEDS ATTRACTS CHICKADEES, NUTHATCH, TITMICE, FINCHS AND GROSBEAKS, & GOLD FINCH.. BUT BIRDS SEEM TO HAVE TROUBLE GETTING THE SEEDS OUT.???? THE SEEDS MAY GET DAMP FROM RAIN OR HUMIDITY AND DONT MOVE DOWN AS BIRDS REMOVE THEM??. BUT ALL IN ALL, IT IS A GREAT FEEDER FOR THE PRICE.
ADDENDUM+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ P.S+++++++++ OKAY BIRD LOVERS, SINCE I MADE THE ABOVE REVIEW; I DID SOME EXPERIMENTING AND TOOK A PAIR OF THIN WIRE CUTTERS AND MADE THE SEED PORTS LARGER AT THE TOP, OF THE CLEAR PLASTIC. ______ PROBLEM SOLVED______.. NOW HAVE 4 GOLDFINCH THIS A.M. SITTING ON FEEDER PERCH; EATING THEIR LITTLE BEAK HEARTS OUT. HAPPY, HAPPY BIRDIES... :-) :-) JERRY L. EMERSON

Good affordable choice,

We don't have anywhere to hang a bird feeder outside our house that's near a window, so we decided to put one on the window. So far this feeder has worked great and attracted mostly cardinals and sparrows (we live in an urban/suburban area so I'm not expecting much).
PROS: Affordable, very easy to fill, easy to stick on the window pane, and the feeder part unhooks from the suction part for refilling (no sticking and unsticking). CONS: This is more of a personal preference, but it's plastic. If I could have found a comparable wooden feeder I would probably have gone with that.

the product is very good.........I'm enjoying the birds coming to feed. I had some difficulty putting it together, believe it or not and wish there had been some instructions.

Not good for sunflower seeds,
By
This review is from: Garden Song 101-4 Dine Around Window Bird Feeder (Lawn & Patio)
I only tried this feeder with sunflower seeds which does not work very well. Frequently the seeds get stuck above the bird's feeding port. This requires the feeder to be shaken to allow additional seeds to fall within the bird's reach. It probably would work fine with small seeds.

great feeder - good design,

We've had this feeder for 3 years. The only thing I had to do was replace the suction cups (they eventually cracked from the weather) with heavy duty velcro. Find I need to knock on the window to shake down the sunflower seeds sometimes - the birds hear this and flock to the feeder. If I used a seed mixture, the birds tossed the regular seeds to the ground, to fish out the sunflower ones! The titmice stay on the perch - hammering open the seeds w/their beaks so I'd say the perch is quite sturdy. I have one chickadee who bangs on the window when it's empty or the seed is stuck - he/she lets me know - really!!
