Set up can be confusing because you have to take off one complete side panel. To do this you must also remove the two corner pieces. Then you have to cut and pull back the plastic unsulation which is stapled to the frame. This is the only way to get the electric cord out to plug into the wall. I also had to cut a notch in the lower two by four wood frame for the plug cord to come out. Otherwise you would not be able to get the panel screwed back in because the cord would be in the way. The manual is also behind this insulation sheet in the form of a cd disc.

Taking off the panel is not too difficult but putting it back is a pain. It takes two people to do this because you have to hold it up in place while you are putting the screws back in and the panel is heavy. Also, the panel fits in using tongue and groove and its a bit tricky to get both ends to fit on the corner at the same time. As soon as I would get one corner to fit the other one would pop out.

I filled the tub through the filter receptacle as required but there was still air in the lines which caused the pump to not work. I had to loosen the main front pipe collar thats in front of the pump to let the air out. Loosening this large collar required a hammer and large flat head screw driver to get it to turn since it was tightened way beyond hand tight.

Make sure the tub is not leaking and running good before you put the panel back on.

All in all, for the price I paid it is well worth the hassle of setting it up.
It came with stainless steel covers around the jets, a light with six color choices and a waterfall. It also came with an ozonator and a nice cover. I got mine from Amazon with free threshold shipping. This means they will put it inside a doorway or in your garage. Other places had curbside shipping and it wasn't free.

Appearance: Very happy with the look of the spa. Was a little worried before buying because I couldn't find pictures of the cabinet (I have added a few pictures to the product page!). It has a nice mahogany cabinet and the cover appears of decent quality and matches the cabinet. The waterfall and the interior lighting (7 different light colors that rotate or stay solid) add to the look. At night the lights make the water look very cool... especially the green and blue.

Setup: I won't dwell on it as many have said it before me, but having to remove the panel to get to the instructions and power cord is a horrendous design choice and is not easy. I knew of the problems going in, was very careful and still managed to put a very small crack in the cabinet. Other than that, setting it up was fairly easy. I plugged it into a standard outlet that was dedicated for the hot tub, but did need an extension cord as the included cord is short. If you must use an extension cord, you're definitely going to want to use a heavy duty (12 gauge) cord. I tried to use a medium duty cord initially and it got very hot. The heavy duty works well for me. Other than that, outside the water chemistry it was easy for me to set up (still learning the chemistry angle!).

Performance: Was initially very confused by the performance as the digital display shows two speeds for the pump, but after reading elsewhere found it was just a one speed pump (the enclosed direction are on a CD-ROM and are less than helpful as they cover several models including features you don't have). The jets do alright, but it's definitely less powerful than what I'm used to from your average spa. They're very soothing and the tub creates a nice experience, but look elsewhere if you're looking for powerful jets.

This tub is not roomy. Would have to be 5 small adults. But fine for 3. Have it outdoors in Maine. Works well. Maintains set temperature accurately. Good price. Cost another $600 for the electrician. Need 5 men to move it into place. Nothing like a hot tub in the cold Maine winter.

UPDATE: Stay away. In less than a year, the thermostat malfunctioned. I combed the materials that came with the tub for contact information for the manufacturer. Nothing. I contacted Amazon & got an email address. Sent 2 emails. No response. Found online the name & address of the president of the manufacturer. Wrote him a letter. Got an email back saying they would replace or pay for the defective part(s).

Tried unsuccessfully to get the part in Maine. Called the manufacturer. They promised to send a new thermostat. Never arrived. Tub froze.

I'm about to sue them.

There was no tech manual sent with product and the online manual provided by the company is so general as to be relatively useless - the control side of the tub is Chinese-made, & according to the tech assist I needed to get the tub up and running, is prone to failure. The plug which is stowed internal to the tub is less than 12 feet long, not the 15ft advertised - plan ahead!! Tub warms up at about three degrees an hour , but once it's heated the system appears well-insulated. Tech was impressed at the size of the bench seats, tub will hold 5 moderately sized adults. Price at Amazon was $1K less than local offers, so nice bang for the comparable buck
