great product for planting grass seed
used it to rough up soil for grass seed... leaves the grass already there intact. fantastic product!!

Not as good as expected
I bought this thinking it would be great for my garden, but the rotating blades are not sharp at all and it barely pulls up any of the weeds. I wouldn't get this if your trying to keep the weeds down in your garden, better to use a hoe. It might be ok for prepping the soil before planting, making some rows with two blades on the outside, or keep weeded soil around your...

I bought this thinking it would be great for my garden, but the rotating blades are not sharp at all and it barely pulls up any of the weeds. I wouldn't get this if your trying to keep the weeds down in your garden, better to use a hoe. It might be ok for prepping the soil before planting, making some rows with two blades on the outside, or keep weeded soil around your garden turned up. But, for removing weeds it kind of rolls right over them and you keep having to go over the same spot many many times and still not a good result.

First of all, I purchased this ultimately at a local store because the seller took more than 2 weeks to mail it to me, even though it was listed as in stock. Then, when I sent it back - 3 weeks ago - they have yet to credit my account. So, the seller gets 0 stars.
The weasel does not work in wet soil. The weasel does not work in dry soil. The weasel works OK but not great in regular soil ... that has already been weeded .... and tilled ... and that you need to just mix around more than actually tear up. It hasn't added positively to my gardening experience. But at least it doesn't burn fossil fuels. |
