Simply push the tines into the weed base, press down with your foot, and pop out the weeds instantly - roots and all - with no chemical treatments! Four Reasons to Use the Weasel Weed Popper Pro 1. Ergonomic design--no bending, kneeling or straining 2. Great for sandy soil in southern or warm season zones 3. Great for all natural control—no chemicals 4. Great for digging holes for planting flowers The Weasel Weed Popper Pro is best used where the soil contains more sand, such as in Texas where it was invented. If your soil has more clay, try the Weasel Weed Popper Step & Twist. Weed Control Tips For the best lawns and gardens try the following weed control techniques. • Take care of your lawn. Dense healthy lawns shade the soil and prevent weeds from germinating • When weeds do appear, knock them out quickly so the seeds don’t spread • The Weed Popper is great for controlling grassy type weeds such as broadleaf weeds like dandelions and chickweed • Chemical herbicides can harm grass and flowers surrounding the weeds, so for best results use the Weed Popper to get to the root of the problem without chemical treatments Product Features: • Durable Carbon Steel • Comfort-grip Handle • Patented Foot Lever • Limited Lifetime Warranty Using the Weasel Weed Popper Pro Hold the handle in an upright position, and place the tines right behind the weed. Then, with your foot, push the tines into the root system of the weed. Step down swiftly with your foot and pop the weed out, roots and all. Finally, push forward on the handle and step on the foot lever to clean off the tines.

Took a few tries to get the hang of it, and it works great at getting the weeds out while saving your back, with much less work.

I am mightily impressed with this little gadget! First borrowed one from a neighbor while out uprooting dandelions and thistles by hand, and could not get over how thoroughly it removed each plant, roots and all, without having to bend over or pull hard. A little foot action, and the weed (even some pretty huge thistles with 2-inch-thick stems) literally pops out of the ground. In fact, it works best on the largest weeds, and really small ones will slip between the teeth without being uprooted. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because the little black glued-on friction panel at the back of the lever stayed on for almost no time at all; the glue almost immediately started slipping the first time I used my weed-popper (melting? I don't think so, as the weather was not hot)and the panel soon came off the lever. The friction panel wasn't really necessary though, and the weed popper continued to work quite well throughout the day. It appears to be very sturdy, constructed of 100% galvanized metal, and I think it will last well for some time to come. Instructions that accompany it do suggest that it works best when the soil is not too dry, but I have been using it after at least a week with no rain, and weeds are still coming out easily.

Before I had the chance to use my new "Weed Popper", my husband took it out to the garden to do some weeding. After one or two pops, the handle split and broke in half. The actual popper is great, but I think a better handle should be considered.

This product is excellent for removing weeds in sandy soils. We have 2 acres in south central Oklahoma and sand burrs are terrible. If you try to pull them the roots stay and the weed comes back, but with the Weed Popper you get almost all of the roots and the weed does not regrow. This also saves your fingers from the burrs and is easier on the back.

After the first hour of dandelion removal, the digging tines started splaying outwards. Made in China. Nice. I had high hopes but am fairly disgusted now.

I bought the Garden Wesel Weed Popper Original Garden Weasel 95006 Weed Popper to replace the Weed Popper I have had for at least 15 years. I used the old weed popper so much over the past years that I wore it out. I went to our local Ace hardware and what they had by Garden Weasel was the new Weed Popper Red. It was not even close to what I used and liked for the past 15 years so I found this one on Amazon that was just like the one I had. I received it yesterday and started using it immediately. It is an amazing piece of equipment. It pops weeds so easy but the best part is that it also does an incredible job of popping stickers and if you have ever dealt with these pests you know if difficult they are to dig up. The popper pops them right out and then I use the fork to stab and pick them up so I don't even have to bend down. They improved the handle over the one I originally had by using a tubular metal handle rather than a wooden one. On my old weed popped I had to replace the original handle after several years of hard use with an old broom handle but it still worked great. Eventually I bent the metal that supports the tines by using it to pry up some very tough clumps of grass but that was after using it for years. I will be careful not to abuse this one and expect it to last for more than 15 years. I highly recommend this garden tool (the original one) if you have to pull weeds or dig stickers.

Living in a geographical area that fosters dandelions, I have spent many hours and big bucks trying to win the weed war. The Weed Popper is my ticket to winning the constant dandelion battle. It is so easy to use - place the popper beside the weed, step down on the thong blade, then step on the side of the thong blade - the weed "POPS" right out of the ground. It is so easy to use. The absolute beauty of this process is that the roots of the weed are still intact as the weed pops out of the ground and there is no more digging, bending or watching the weed grow back. The tool is a good height for the average adult and is lightweight so it is managable to carry around. I have only owned the Popper for 4 months so I can not attest to it's durability, but others have given it a good review for endurance. I would definately recommend this tool to anyone who has dandelions (and other weeds) invading their grassy lawns.

After returning the poorly designed Weed Popper Step and Twist to the local hardware store, they suggested this model. It looked tougher and carried a slightly higher price tag, $20 plus tax at this particular shop.

Garden Weasel apparently uses rather poor quality steel in their tools. The Step and Twist had tines that bent very easily. While the working parts of this tool are stronger, it still has a weak point, the fork where the handle connects to the tool. After just a few minutes of use, the metal was visibly distorted and the handle was no longer vertical. After about 10 minutes, the mechanism that clears the tines had stopped working due to the deformation of the handle, and after 20 minutes, the whole thing jammed when the clearing mechanism got stuck underneath the handle, rendering the tool completely unusable. Luckily, the store let me return the tool.

This would have been a great tool if they simply added some reinforcing or used a stronger grade of steel. While it was functional, it worked extremely well, but the handle is just too weak to remain intact for long.
