Ellen Dugan is a funny, exact and experienced writer. She has information on gardening and herbs and reasons for using all things green that can't be equaled. I don't believe in the spells and chants and things to ward off the "bump in the night" problems but I do enjoy reading about them. I will always buy her books because even if you only grow a window plant her facts and stories will enchant you.

You will use this book as a reference guide year after year to enhance,improve & change your garden. It is an all season book for landscaping as well as herbal & magickal gardening.

This is another of my yearly purchases, Keeping up with the folk lore and the history of herbs and the herbal gardens, When you learn the lore behind the herbs and seasons you are close to the earth and to our Wiccan and Pagan teachings. ANyone who gardens will enjoy this treasure on a yearly basis.

The is an excellent source of information. Ms. Dugan has an comfortable, easy going tone as she imparts a wealth of information for gardeners and pagan alike. The book is well-structured and manages to avoid rehashing topics previously addressed in her other books. This is not a sequel to Garden Witchery, but a whole different scope of information. The author weaves in personal stories and useful tips that enliven the more technical passages on each herb and plant discussed making for a much friendlier read. I think this is a great addition to the library.

Ellen Dugan is the 'Herb Witch'.Herb magick is her forte,and she has a magickal green thumb.If you enjoy her other works on garden witchcraft,you'll be delighted by this one also.Being a 'natural witch' through green gardening ,brings the wiccan closer to the magickal earth.In this plastic age,we have lost contact to the cycles of the Earth and deny respect for the soil that enriches us.We are now rediscovering the communion with the Earth cycles,whether with a coven or on a personal path.She makes modern witchcraft meaningful,easy and fun.I like her style of writing.Witchcraft is not evil or spiteful,unless it is misused by the misinformed.Green witchcraft is always all-natural,100%.

I really enjoyed Dugan's books Cottage Witchery and Garden Magic, this book was not quite up to those two. It is great telling about herbs, how to grow, how to use, etc. It lacks craft ideas, which I love from her previous books. She also always includes anecdotes and personal stories which are fun, but this time just took too much space. Some material had alread appeared in Llywellns Herbal Almanac book.

"Garden Witch's Herbal" presents the wonder of green magick and its ways. Dugan's descriptions are beautiful, insightful, and clear. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking nature and the natural in their own life.

This is a wonderful book full of information, which is relevant to anyone's life. Her ideas for spells and ceremonies are enchanting for the beginner and a good stepping-off point for those who are more advanced. You don't have to be a witch to enjoy Ellen's books-- they have universal appeal to all who love our Mother.

I am a beginner at green witchery, and i am extremely interested in the medicinal and edible parts and facts about plants, and though this doesn't have to much about that, it helps me know what would be good for me to put into a garden of my own. for both my spiritual beliefs and for the edible factors. this book would be great for pagan and non-pagan gardeners alike. it has so many helpful tips and facts
