I LOVE these bags,

I just started using these bags, and I've only washed them once (regular cycle + hang dry), so I can't testify to their long term durability, but I love them so far. They didn't shrink much when washed. I know from today's shopping trip that one bag comfortably holds 6 very large peaches, and I think I could have gotten about three more in there if I had tried. They're also very lightweight, which is a big concern when you're buying produce by weight.
EDIT: 4/27/08 I still use these bags about once a week and I wash them after each use. They're still in great condition.

I use these for all my produce, and they've held up really well. Keeps the produce fresher as well, as it can breathe, rather than get all squishy from a plastic bag. Good value!

I bought 3 pairs of these for my produce shopping. The bags are well made and have washed them gentle cycle and air dried with no problems. There is a tag on the side that tells the cashier the tare of the bag to deduct so you don't get charged for the weight of the bag. Overall these are nice bags. They are earth friendly and help eliminate the use for more plastic.

The bags are very nice - sturdy, washable. However, my local grocery stores have trouble determining how to enter the tare weight into their cash register. As reusable bags become more common, this will improve. However, I now have to explain to each checker.

A great way to reduce your use of plastic,

I've been using these at the grocery store for a few weeks now, and I'm very pleased. I get a bunch of fruit each week, so I wanted to eliminate my use of the little plastic produce bags. They are very lightweight (but still sturdy), and the checkout person is able to see through them to identify what's inside.

I love these produce bags. I purchased 4 of them. They're almost perfect. The only drawback is that the cashier has trouble seeing the sticker through the weave of the bag to figure out which produce item is being purchased. If I had thought about it, I would have gotten something more see-through. I purchased these because they seemed like they might be sturdier than the other options available. I'd buy it again.

I used these bags on the beach--I could see the contents and the sand fell through the netting. Also, I use them to take my small supplies and snacks to school; it's nice that they are washable.

I like the bags. They're sturdy and big enough for all my produce needs.
The weight on the tag for taring out is great in theory, but didn't work out for me. Took them to two local stores and was told it wasn't possible at both. If the bags were lighter, maybe I wouldn't mind paying for them, but then the quality wouldn't be the same. The bags weigh 1.47 oz (0.09 lb). So, if you're buying something that's $3/lb, you'd be paying $0.27 extra. Not gonna do it. I'll still use them for things like potatoes and apples that are easy to take out and weigh, or when I buy things sold by count and not weight. But I am disappointed.

These are super cool. Wish I had them last summer for farmer's market. Would give a 6th star if I could and if they'd remind me to take them with me when I go to the store. Local natural foods co-op has no trouble with the tare weight, haven't tried them at a "big box" store yet, would probably take the items out for them to weigh, as I don't trust them to be smart enough to tare it (would add up to pay for the extra weight of the bag after several trips to the store. Wish I found them sooner!
