This summer we had two hoses to water two different trees. We had to stretch one from the front of our house to reach one of the trees in the back since we only have one water hookup in our backyard. This product eliminated the need to stretch the hose from the front. The timer has also saved us about $100 so far considering we always forget to turn the water off because we get busy doing other things. Several days we have forgotten to turn it off until the next morning but this product did exactly what it was supposed to and shut it off automatically. I love it!!

I like the simplicity of the timing device... the modified egg timer as another reviewer comments. The dial is easy to read and easy to use.
However, the device causes a significant reduction in water pressure through the hoses attached to it. Since I need to be able to direct water up a hill to some blueberry plants, I need the full pressure. The reduced pressure is fine for watering with weeper/dripper hoses but not when full pressure is needed.

Seems to work well. Very simple and intuitive, basically two egg timers on valves. No complicated digital settings. Two hour limit which for me is fine. I do not buy water powered units any longer, they have too many moving parts and never work for but a year. This is a simple mechanical timer, if it is sealed, I believe it will last for some time. I am worried about longevity. All plastic means its affordable, however, the hose connections seem to be very vulnerable to breakage, especially if you are to pull on the hose, which we all do from time to time. So if your very careful, I think its a good, sound product. Would recommend it.

This item leaks. I did not install it until recently, and the return window is closed. The item is useless!

Crappy Timer
