I have six 8-10 gallon planters along the side of my patio that need to be watered regularly March through November. This wand does the job for me. The spray selections are suitable for this kind of watering. It does not leak when the flow is shut off while the water is still on and holds the pressure in the hose after the water is turned off (I have to remember release the pressure before disconnecting the wand or the hose).
However, when I bought it in summer of 2008, the price was about 40 percent less than it is now, just six months later. At the current price, I would look closely at alternatives from Gardena and other manufacturers before choosing this model.

What a disappointment. Have owned this product previously and it worked fine. This version leaks and is generally sub-standard.
