First encountered (and started using) Gardena products 15 years ago while living in Europe. The Gardena products are very common in Britain/Europe; available wherever gardening supplies are sold. The "quick-on"/"quick-off" hose attachments work very well. They save a lot of time and frustration in making/breaking connections. Light weight (but heavy duty) plastic. Seals on the "male" accessories are provided by an "O" rings every four or five years these might need replacing; available for 25 cents at any good hardware.

I purchased this to use with the Makita Wet 4 inch Stone Polisher. The Gardena 36001 Garden Hose Quick Connector was recommended as something people who bought the Stone Polisher also purchased. It doesn't fit the Makita Polisher. Don't buy it if you intend to use it on the Makita Stone Polisher.

Gardena products are long lasting and tough. Yeah I take care of my stuff but 5 years of sitting outside in temps between 110f and 30f and the parts still hold on nicely to the hoses. Where I live you cant get hoses with fittings on the ends. These work great. Snap them off and the water stop always works. The quick release still seals very good. This is the second set that I have bought. I needed them for the upstairs hose and for the pressure washer.
