4.0 out of 5 stars Best sprinkler I've ever had!
Living in Texas is testament to tough weather conditions. Sprinklers don't hold up well under intense heat and the soil is extremely hard in areas such as mine.

These Gardena sprinklers have held up better than any I've owned. They survive the heat. They survive the cold. I have left mine outside year round and they have not fallen apart like so many other brands...

3.0 out of 5 stars watch the movie, water pressure must be very high to go far.
Customer Video Review     Length:: 0:16 Mins
gardena sprinkler video . it does not shoot very far, much less than the pulsating ones. and it seems to put all the water out far away from the head, not close to it. not worth the high cost even with a lifetime warranty.

Living in Texas is testament to tough weather conditions. Sprinklers don't hold up well under intense heat and the soil is extremely hard in areas such as mine.

These Gardena sprinklers have held up better than any I've owned. They survive the heat. They survive the cold. I have left mine outside year round and they have not fallen apart like so many other brands of sprinklers I've owned.

I especially like the gear driven mechanism. It performs smoothly, does not stall under windy conditions and is very easy to adjust. I owned another brand that broke immediately when I accidently turned the adjustment knobs the wrong way. Unlike a pulsing sprinkler, the smooth stream of water is less likely to dissipate in windy conditions. Another great feature is the sprinkler will operate under lower water pressure conditions which makes it easy to water small areas.

The only thing I've found that has ended the life of my sprinklers is the lawn care folks leave them on the driveway. They do not hold up to be driven over. But I'm buying more and alerting the lawn care people they'll be buying replacements if it happens again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Gear-Driven, Low-Pressure Sprinkler, August 30, 2005
This review is from: Gardena 36850-6 Turbo Drive Sprinkler on a Sled (Lawn & Patio)
I've used this type of sprinkler for several years and it's absolutely great! It's gear driven and much quieter than the typical pulsating type. It also works on less water pressure than the pulsating types allowing you to power two of these off a single faucet (use a splitter with two hoses). Give it a try, you'll like it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Choice for Large Lawns, August 14, 2004

We just bought a new home with a large yard (19,000sq.ft to be exact) and we've tried so many sprinklers that stake into the ground. We hate that. With this one on a sled, it's much more comforting to know it only needs to sit on the lawn, not driven into it. It's also silent compared to other sprinklers.

The area to water is simple to adjust and very user friendly. Because this is our first yard, and 10th sprinkler, I think we will stick to this kind from Gardena. I am buying another one after this review.

Gardena make great garden watering devices and they back up their products. I bought this sprinkler a few years back, It arrived damaged, but I did not realize it until I needed it, which was after the amazon return date. I called up Gardena, and they replaced it no questions asked.
These gardena sprinklers are also light weight, but I have never had an issue with them moving. With these having plastic parts, good idea to store them indoors over winter. The plastic parts you would think would be flimsy, but these suckers last for years. And if they do break from wear, like I mentioned, Gardena will replace.
Also check out their oscillating sprinkler, I love that one, it can adjust to fit almost any lawn, no water waste on pavements. This one the Turbo Drive I use for spot watering or distant areas.

This is a sprinkler that really delivers. Here in California we need to be water misers and this sprinkler helps me accomplish that. The spray on this puts out large droplets which reduce evaporation and gets the water where its needed to be, on the lawn. Also, it is VERY quiet which for me a big plus. I have a Gardenia impulse, sled style, sprinkler that I have used for over 20 years and it still works! So, this is a great buy all around - performance + reliability.

After using another Gardena oscillating sprinkler for years (My wife even love's it and she's usually the lucky one who gets to move it all summer) We decided to take a chance on this style sprinkler after my Brass beauty with a metal spike went South on me last week.
Well, I am here to report that after one week that it too is an awesome machine. I love it, easy as heck to set up and it puts out a lot of water, I thought it might be a bit wimpy from the looks of it but no mon Frere, this is one serious watering machine!
Another added bonus that I wasn't even aware of until it arrived is that it has a lifetime warranty.
Definitely worth the $ 20.95 I paid.

Free shipping and it arrived in about 3 days!
Perfect!
Oh yeah and it's quiet... none of the noise of the traditional impact sprayer.
German engineering at work once again, you gotta love it...
Get it and watch your lawn grow, you'll love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gardenia Sprinkler, May 28, 2007

We've been using this sprinkler for about a month, and it works great so far. We have a pretty odd shaped lawn so we move it around a lot, and love how easy it is to set the distance of the stream as well as the rotation degree. It works as promised, quietly and evenly. I would recommend this product to anyone.

My wife says I'm a little fanatical about sprinklers - even to the point of putting paper cups out to measure the evenness of sprinklers. Yep! Its my water and our plants. I want even watering. This is the best CIRCULAR sprinker I have found. I've used them for about 6 years and had my first one break. I found the best pattern for mid to full patterns is to adjust the long stream to be pretty jet like. You want to have it hit and continue at about the end of the shorter spray pattern. You may think you are throwing a lot of water out far but there is much more ground to cover out there. Thumbs up!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Sprinkler, July 29, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Gardena 36850-6 Turbo Drive Sprinkler on a Sled (Lawn & Patio)
I bought this sprinkler hoping that I could bring in a nice lawn without an inground sprinkler system. It does work nice and is very quiet, however, the distribution of water seems much greater at the end of the stream than in the middle. Otherwise it is a nice sprinkler.

This review is from: Gardena 36850-6 Turbo Drive Sprinkler on a Sled (Lawn & Patio)
This is the best sprinkler I have every purchase. I have at least 10 old ones. It is easily adjustable and covers a large or small area. It's a must for a homeowner. The construction is also durable and well assembled. Get one or two!!
