I bought an owl just like this at Lowes because EVERY DAY my new car was getting crapped on. And not just once.. like the entire car was getting crapped on. I had my husband put it on top of the pole next to our house and the birds are staying at least two houses away. So now someone else can get their car pooped on.

Nice size owl so I gave it two stars but it didnt work let alone scare any birds away,i put it in a tree, on a pole and I even put it on top of my truck and birds would still land next to it

The owl arrived exactly as described. I used it to rid my workshop of birds trying to nest inside. It could have hung from the rafter but I chose to weight it with sand and set it on the attic flooring. The birds are gone.

The owl looks silly, you open a box and you're like "did I really buy a big plastic fake owl?" But once you put it outside, those annoying birds that chirp nonstop and wake you up in the morning well before you wanted to, they are gone forever! Follow the directions, though, and move it every few days. Otherwise those annoying birds realize it's fake too, and come back to chirping outside your bedroom window.

I uploaded a picture to prove my statement. The picture shows the decoy with a barn swallow sitting on its head! Go figure. I move it everyother day, as suggested and, birds are flying past it to build nests under my deck. Guess I should buy an Eagle or BB Gun!
Here's an update. To help show movement I hung the owl decoy from a stick with fishing line and while it was blowing in the wind a bird sat on the owls head and left its mark. Now the owl has a big white spot.
Now, where did I see a BB gun for sale!

Scared off the pigeons living on my roof when we installed it on the roof so happy days! My dog occasionally forgets its fake and barks at it... after poking it with a stick he soon remembers!
