I was dissapointed in this book. It has some nice pictures, but not very much descriptive text about ideas for landscaping and how to go about it.

If you are planning on doing anything with plants, you need this book. It is the most informative and easy to read gardening book on the market.

We just moved to Phoenix and needed information about how to care for the plants in our yard, and what other plants would be suitable to plant. This book is very helpful.

Excellent book with great details about the Southwest and how to grow the right type of plants. The Southwest is a difficult place to grow any kind of garden. This book gives you tips and the types of plants that will work best for the climate and soil types in the Southwest.

I highly recommend this book for any southwest gardener. It has lots of great ideas, color pictures, and information on desert gardening. It certainly inspires one to put color into the garden both with plants and objects.

I think this is a great book. Lots of good information and ideas which we are always looking for. We live in Thousand Oaks, CA, and our summers get quite hot. I saw a drought resistant plant that I thought was lovely at the nursery several months ago but did not want to pay the price. I had forgotten to write down the name of the plant When I went back, it was of course gone. I was hoping I would find it in this book but no luck. We are very satisfied with the book and definitely glad we purchased it.
