Classic reference for landscapers in Hawaii,

This review is from: In Gardens of Hawaii (Hardcover)
Even though the "new and revised edition" is Copyright 1965 (with numerous reprints), this is still a must-have reference book for landscaping professionals in Hawaii. Some of the botanical names are out of date, as botantists like to revise those as new information comes up, but I still refer to this book several times a month. In addition to details and sketches of plant parts to help in identification, Marie Neal also included numerous anecdoctal stories, such as what uses Native Hawaiians made of different plants or how the Forestry Service introduced the species to help save the watersheds of the Islands. For a reference book, the language is quite readable.
