I really thought it looked black in the picture and was extremely shocked and angry when I opened the box and discovered it was green! I contacted the seller and they were willing to give me a full refund - they were truly wonderful about it - but since my husband liked it, I went ahead and put it together for our backyard. It was very easy to put together (did it myself) and it looks great. I also got the gate with it. Excellent deal for the money. It's been up for about 5 months and I've noticed the latch on the gate has rusted a bit, so I hope it makes it through the winter. We actually use it to keep our dog from another part of our yard, so it's functional and beautiful. I highly recommend this gate (though beware it is not black) because of the great quality for the price and the very helpful & prompt response I experienced with the seller.

It's far too early for this trellis to be covered with vines, but I can picture it...I used the muddy melt time to install it in the part of my yard where it acts as a door from the side yard to the back, and it is impressive.

It went together easily (one glitch was that I didn't notice that the anchors had screw holes on only two, and not four sides) and seems to be sturdy against everything Chicago winds have sent its way so far.

As one reviewer said, it is definitely quite green. This does not bother me, but someone who is matching irons or prefers black should know: it is not a subtle green, either.

I am really glad I bought it, and will consider whether I will add the doors that are available as an extra purchase, once I see how the garden grows!

After only one month of assembly and placment in the yard some of the screws have started to rust. I can only imagine what will happen after a winter. For an outdoors item where exposure to the elements is inherent there is not reason why nonrusting screws, etc, are not used.

This arbor was very easy to assemble. I was quite satisfied with the sturdiness of it. The side detailing is more attractive than I had expected (I didn't pay attention to the details from the pictures online before purchasing) and it's almost a shame that I will have a vine covering that detailing!

I purchased the corresponding bench for this arbor and assembled them together. It looks really great and I would highly recommend this arbor and bench combination. Even without the bench the arbor is really nice and is a great value. I like the verdigris (green) finish because it tends to blend into the natural green colors of the surrounding plant material.

This Item is nice looking but not worth the $100.00 I spent on it.
It had no instructions to put it together. The bolts are not stainless or coated so they are rusting after a month. One pre-threaded hole was oversized so had to buy a larger bolt and retap the hole. The bolts will not stay tight so had to buy lock washers for all of them. For the price of this item I don't feel you should have to do all the extra. Time will tell how long it lasts. Not at all impressed...sorry.

IT IS VERDIGRIS--WHICH I HAVE READ OTHER REVIEWS THAT STATED THEY WERE SURPRISED WITH COLOR BEING A DARK GREEN--IT'S WHAT VERDIGRIS IS!! A BEAUTIFUL ADDITION TO A GARDEN, THAT BLENDS WITH THE GREENS OF BUSHES, SHRUBS, TREES ETC. AT A DISTANCE YOU WILL SEE THE COLORS OF THE FLOWERS 'POP' AS THE VINE GROWTH BLENDS WITH THE COLOR ARCH. COMPLETELY SATISFIED.

I purchased the Gardman R361 Kensington Arch; and received the free supersaver shipping. To my surprise I recieved it within two days via UPS. It was easy to assemble (under 1 hour), and looks great. I have already planted a wisteria vine to start climbing on it. I am very pleased. I note that some people complained because they thought it was black; however, it does state in the product description that it is Verdigris (green/black), and it really looks great in the yard. The Kensington Arch is easy to install and of good craftmanship. The powder coating finish set it off!

Easy to assemble and looks great in the yard. I don't know yet what the life span of it is or when it will begin to corrode but in the meantime, it works fantastic.

While the arch is impressive once put together, the quality is iffy. Parts were bent and we had to straighten them to make them fit. It just wasn't worth putting everything back in the box and returning it.
