This book, like Gardner's Volume I is dissapointing for the 129.00 price I paid. The photographs are small, hard to see what they are writing about. The information is scattered, hard to compare simular works. The book is written to be overwhelming and cannot contribute to a student's success. Any students that must use this book, should and will spend many hours researching other art history books sites.
Worst of all is the companion site, which should be interactive, or at least connect to links correctly, is horrible, just horrible. I do not think that anyone went through the site to see if links work... They just randomly through them in with out consideration to the students that were spending so much for their book.........SAD!

This is a great book, i bought it for my art history class in college and expected it to be boring and difficult to read. The language and the way it is written is interesting and actually excited me to learn the different art pieces. I am an engeneering major and taking this class was not my idea of fun but I encourage everyone to take art history and buy this book, it is absolutely the best.Gardner's Art Through the Ages: Global History, Enhanced Edition, Volume II

I bought this book new and was it new! It was wrapped with all the extras inside. It was packed well and didn't have any horrific accidents on it's way to me! Exactly what I needed for my Art History class!!

This book is really helpful for my Art History class. Without it, I'd probably fail.

Used this book for a class, the details are interesting and the pictures are great, it even had the scale next to each painting/sculpture, but the author provides too much information instead of being "to the point". It was difficult to follow at times, there was just too much information.

it came in the mail faster then the estimated time and very good condition would buy from this user again.

This is a terrific book for an overview of art throughout history. Many wonderful photos accompany the text. It is a great book for people who are studying the subject on their own. I have it because I need it for a class. As a student I would prefer that it have a more thorough review section with questions to answer, instead it offers highlights. Nicely done book for general art knowledge seekers.

As stated in the description, the book was a used copy. The cover and corners were a little worn and bent, but the pages were all intact and clean. Overall book was in okay condition at a fair price.
