5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent View into the past! June 19, 2012
By Emorgan
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book was above and beyond what I expected especially for the price I paid for it. My husband who doesn't normally read loves the book too. It's a great view into the past, into a war that tore this nation apart.

5.0 out of 5 stars A glimps into the past. June 15, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a glimps into America's past history that changed the country forever. The period known as the "Civil War, the Great Rebellion, and the Secession" was the first photographed reporting brought into the homes of the citizens. The men and women that photographed the dead and destruction had no idea just how important their work would be through the years.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Book but crappy packaging... February 20, 2013
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The book is awesome, but when it arrived it was in a very cheaply-made, thin padded envelope that had torn open at the corner and bent the cover and first few pages of the book... The shipping envelope was not marked with "DO NOT BEND" and the book was not protected inside by any wrapping of any kind... I am very OCD about keeping my books looking new, I take great care in handling them and when turning the pages etc., and this one was bent and damaged upon arrival and needless to say I am not happy about that....
