Big bang - small buck,

I'm a dryer vent cleaning specialist with over 12 years experience in this field. The LintEater system is, by far the best device I've found for cleaning dryer vents - and I've tried more than a few. The instruction manual was created by professionals who REALLY know laundry ducts. They steer the user away from the many errors which can lead to costly repairs and show, step-by-step how to properly and safely clean a dryer vent. The system parts are high quality and durable - even under hard and constant usage. The cost is unbelievably low compared to other products on the market. I give it three thumbs up.

Mandatory solution to improve dryer performance,

Well designed, easy to use and absolutely works! The flex shafts are about 3/8" dia and work nicely in 3ft segments. Using a 18V cordless drill it really really works well. Our duct goes about 18ft up through the roof and this worked flawlessly. The extra 12ft in this kit is the way to go giving you 27ft total of rods. The 4in vac attachment is perfect to suck out the duct lint AFTER you run the brush through.
I highly recommend this solution. Your dryer will perform SO MUCH better... GET ONE!!

I live in a two-story townhome where the dryer vent goes straight up and out through the roof (20+ feet up).
The lint eater removed huge amounts of lint with ease. Total time after four passes through: 1 hour No problems as long as you follow the directions.

Normally I don't write reviews, but I felt obligated after using this product. After watching the video and reading the directions, I connected one of the 4ft rods to my drill and inserted into my dryer vent duct. After a minute, the rod snapped. Assuming the rod was defective, I used another and connected the other 2 rods. After a few minutes, the rod broke *again* and this time it was deep within the vent duct. It took several hours to fish out remaining pieces, which I promptly took back to the store. Please be aware, the quality of the rods are cheap plastic that can break very easily. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere and avoid the frustration.

WOW- This is a great product. Very easy to read instructions (I did not watch the quick start DVD). The packaging is plain cardboard and it makes you wonder about the quality of the product. But once you open it and use it everything is just fine! Very Fast and it makes it's way around corners very well.
I was able to reduce our drying time on towels from 110 min to 70 and on cloths from 70 min to 35. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

The dryer lint system worked great in cleaning the dryer hose. But the brush to clean out the lint filter area and/or under a refrigirator was not threaded and could not be used. Have been unable to get a replacement from either Amazon or the manufacturer.

My lint snake (Gardus Linteater) came today and let me tell you, it is worth its weight in gold. The DVD was terrific and the parts were well made and sturdy. My dryer was doing the 'ole not drying for several cycles routine. I hooked a shop vac up to the inside 4" dryer vent and turned it on. I attached one of the flexible snakes to the 4" brush and started it through the vent on the outside. I only had to add one more extension till I reached the dryer port guard that stops the snake from entering the dryer. BTW, I tested the outflow volume before I started and then again after reaming it with the lint snake. Most of the built up lint was removed the first pass but I made several more just to ensure a good cleaning. The output volume was unbeliveably improved after using the snake. My wife ran several loads of freshly cleaned laundry thru the dryer and it works as well or better than the day we bought it! This product is well worth the money for anyone that wants to save the time and expense of a repair man's house call and it is simple to use.

"Linteater" works quickly, easily, and very well. Our dryer's duct is less than 9 feet long, so it only took about 10 minutes to do the job. A fair amount of lint came out, but considering that the duct hasn't been cleaned in over 14 years, we probably were lucky that there wasn't more, and that the duct wasn't clogged.
The instructions are really clear, and the 7 minute DVD shows just what to do. Two things to remember are to ONLY turn the rods & brush clockwise (otherwise, they'll unscrew inside the duct), and to get the current extension rod almost completely into the duct before attaching the next one. The instructions also said to work from the outside towards the dryer, and to remove the duct from the dryer in advance, then connect a shop vac to pull the loosened lint into the vac as you work from the outside. I did work from the outside, but was concerned about leaving a shop vac running inside the house while I was outside. So, I left the duct connected, made sure the dryer was OFF, and just reamed out the lint. Pushed the brush and three rods in until there was resistance (presumably inside the dryer), running a cordless drill at low-moderate speed all the way. After removing the brush and rods (still turning clockwise), I turned the dryer on AIR (not heat) to flush out the loosened lint. By the time I got back outside, about a gallon of lint was on the ground. Tossed the lint into the trash, put away the LintEater, and was done. Maybe using the shop vac would have made the duct even cleaner, and maybe this approach won't work on a longer duct or one with more angles (this duct only has two right-angle turns), but the results seem great, and it only took 10 minutes. Regarding the $40 price: the package came with a lot more than I needed for this job, but the alternative would have been to hire someone. "By coincidence", there was a flyer at our front door today, from a service offering to clean the dryer duct... for a lot more than $40. Our home insurance company's current "helpful hints" booklet came a week ago and warned that dryer duct fires were one of the more common causes of home damage. (Who knew?) That's why I got the LintEater, and can't help but think the cleaning service got the same flyer. Each time the duct is cleaned, an outside service would charge for it, but future cleanings with this LintEater will be free... if I can remember where we store it.

I can't believe how well this system worked. We purchased a Bosch front load dryer that would not work becuase it was sensing the lint in my vent system. We tried everything we could, to no avail. We purchased this cleaning system, it worked EXACTLY, if not BETTER than advertised. We had no problems, and the amount of lint we got out of our vent system was incredible. EVERYONE should clean their lint system on a regular basis, I know I will now. The only problem we had was connecting to our shop vac, but with a little ingenuity on my part, we solved that problem. Highly recommend

Improved dryer function - worth the money,
This review is from: Gardus D1203615+ D3203612 LintEater System And Extension Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
Used as recommended (make sure to read ALL the instructions) this product did a fantastic job of cleaning the dryer vent, which was FULL of lint. Prior to cleaning, my brand-new high-efficiency dryer needed two cycles to dry clothes. After cleaning, it worked as expected. As an added benefit we lowered the risk of a fire due to a blocked vent. Before purchasing the extra extension kit, try to estimate the distance between the opening and your dryer. I purchased an extension kit unneccessarily; the one that came with the product was sufficient.
