Not a lot needs to be said about this product. It does exactly what it was designed to do. This is just an extension for the original LintEater Dryer Vent Cleaning System.

We have an unusually long dryer vent that carries the dryer exhaust from the ground floor of our house out the roof. A couple of bends in the route also make it tougher for the lint to make it outside, so it just clogs the vent pipe. We noticed the problem when our dryer started having problems getting the clothes actually...well...dry. After doing quite a bit of online research, we figured out that it was likely not anything wrong with the dryer itself, but just a clogged vent system.

We gave a cheap little hand-held brush a try, but it didn't do much good other than cleaning out the dryer itself. I found the LintEater system and read several favorable reviews, so we ordered the kit. Man, it sure worked like a champ. Pulled an amazing amount of link out of our vent pipe. The only other problem we had is that we neglected to order the additional extensions, so the cleaning system only went about half-way through our pipe. The drying improved for just a bit, and then almost stopped completely because the remaining lint had been compacted into a mid-way point of the vent pipe. We quickly ordered the extension kit and once we used it, the dryer is back to drying beautifully.

The LintEater system is very easy to use if you have a power drill (cordless or otherwise). We use a variable-speed drill for ours so we can vary the speed as the brush snakes through the pipe. It can bind-up in tight corners a bit, but if you just work it around some, it will pull right through and does a great job.

I highly recommend this kit to anyone who is needing to clean their own dryer vent.

The Gardus Extension Kit worked perfectly as advertised easily reach my 12 foot dryer exhaust hose. Excellent construction, flexible for the two bends in exhaust hose.

This is a great product! Our dryer had been taking forever to dry the clothes. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with the dryer. Finally I looked on the Internet and found this product and decided to give it a try. It was easy to use and worked very well.If it's taking forever to dry clothes and you think your vent may be clogged, then you need this! I highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!

If a dryer vent system is longer than 8 feet, then this is needed. It is tedious screwing and undoing all the individual rods, and its important to remember to never reverse the drill while the brush is in the vent. It beats paying someone to do it for you the first time you use it.

We have metal ducts and this worked great, dryer doing so much better now!
We didn't have as large a shop vac hose, so we cut down a piece of foam packaging to work as an adapter so that our smaller hose would fit snugly inside the shop vac attachment point. I advise checking the end of your dry vent after a couple of loads, because anything that's loose that you didn't get will blow out there and may get trapped

I needed to order these to help me reach all the way into the duct work of the dryer. I use this product every year. Can't believe all the debris that comes out even after just one year.

Bought this on april 6th. Got to use it for the first time in may. Hooked it to my drill and the fiberglass is very flexible and a great idea and would have worked well...only problem is the aluminum clips that screw each section together are very weak and cheaply made and one broke off rendering one of my sections unusable. Things like that can happen I understand so I tried to contact customer service both by phone and email and I don't believe they even have a department??? I received no replies and no one to call?? So I would say be prepared if it breaks to have to buy a new one.

If your vent goes to your roof, you may need this kit too. My vent ended up being 15 feet long (1 rod outside what the base kit could handle). System worked perfectly! There isn't much more to say about it.

I have a 14 foot dryer vent duct run from the wall which goes under the floor to the outside of the house. There are two 90 degree bends. The linteater itself is awesome and promptly cleaned out my vent. The shop vac attachment worked great and all of the lint was vacuumed right into the canister which allowed me to see exactly how clogged the duct really was. The extensions are good quality and worked great. No issues. As long as you do not turn them the wrong way (conterclockwise), you do not need to add tape to the joints as recommended to keep them from coming apart, although the added peace of mind some may prefer. They are very flexible, I was quite impressed. Worth their weight in gold and handy to have around.
