Arriving at my desk each morning wouldn't be the same without a new Garfield. Dilbert is just a bit too close to real life, whereas Garfield continues to be just plain funny. This year's has two improvements. Every strip in in colour, and the adhesive strip along the top is perforated approximately monthly. When you remove yesterday's strip there's little danger of it ripping. The only possible improvement remaining would be that each day is duplicated. This would let me share the previous day's strip, while have a copy to hang onto.

One Christmas tradition at our house is that every year I find a Garfield calendar in my stocking. It sits on my desk in the coming year and gives me a much-welcome laugh each morning. This year the calendar is even better than in previous years because the creator has gone full-color with each daily and Sunday strip. Now the tangerine-tinted, lasagna-loving feline and his silly sidekicks are jazzier than ever, as colorful as they are entertaining, and sure to give you a daily dose of humor with their laugh-out-loud antics.

The strips in the 2009 calendar were originally published in newspapers in 2005. The exception is that the strips on June 19, June 21, August 20, and December 27 were originally published in newspapers in 2001.

If you love Garfield in particular or cats in general, you'll want to enjoy this each and every day of 2009.

I get this calander every year and even though I know they are repeats from several years ago, I don't remember them and I think they're great. And the full color pages are a great addition!
