Editorial Reviews

Hearts, flowers and fur balls are in the air with The Garfield Show: All You Need Is Love (and Pasta). You'll have enough fun and laughter to last through nine lives and nine dishes of lasagna as everyone's favorite droll kitty meanders from one hilarious situation to the next. Whether he's fostering orphan birds, enduring John's quest for the perfect family portrait, or putting up a good front for Liz's parents, Garfield really does love his friends... maybe even more than lasagna. Maybe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Garfield is Back in Action! September 9, 2012
The lazy orange and black stripe cat is back in a new series titled The Garfield Show.

The six 11 minutes episodes are:

Mother Garfield - Garfield is forced to babysit some bird eggs until the mother returns.

Desperately Seeking Pooky - Garfield tries to save his beloved Pooky after the toy is stolen by a chihuahua named Hercules.

Meet the Parents - Jon is meeting his girlfriend's parents who happen to bring along the family canary.

Pet Matchers - Garfield and Jon get a chance to be on a reality TV show.

Family Pictures - Jon wants to give a picture of him with his pets, Garfield and Odie, to give to his girlfriend but everything and everyone gets in the way.

Iceman - A criminal steals the ice cream lady's purse and it is up to Garfield to save the day.

Each episode airs two 11 minutes shows, but here we only get six 11 minute episodes. It would have been nice if we got the full 22 minutes, but I'll take what I can get as I'm a Garfield fan. The shows are cute enough for kids and funny enough for adults!

5.0 out of 5 stars Garfield Rocks January 4, 2011
We absolutely love Garfield in this house.

The newest Garfield DVD entitled, All You Need is Love (and Pasta). Garfield isn't wrong. Everything goes great with pasta.

The DVD, released today features 6 love themed episodes. The CGI animation is some of the most colorful, fun out there today. I love the big bold colors.

Garfield is just as fun as I remember and his sarcasm never gets old. I think what makes this such a successful cartoon is that it can be enjoyed by kids and adults (but this is coming from 44 year old cartoon fan).

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Cute July 24, 2011

We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old daughter. She loves it and so do Mom and Dad. The segments are just the right length for her attention span. The stories are also very cute.

5.0 out of 5 stars Garfield, like you've never seen him before! January 23, 2011
The thing that I really love about the new Garfield show, is that it shows the side of Garfield that we rarely see...the loving, kind, loyal side.

Dont get me wrong, the older Garfield cartoons, especially the Christmas and Halloween ones are fantastic. But the older Garfield depicted a more selfish, uncaring Garfield, and that gives cats a bad name.

Cats are every bit as loving, caring and loyal as dogs, if not more so, and it is nice that Garfield is being depicted showing his more soulful side, such as the episode where he kept the baby birds safe, until their mom came home.

I also love this new Garfield show's Halloween and Christmas specials.

In the Christmas special, Garfield, instead of thinking of himself, helped stray/feral/homeless cats have a nice Christmas, and they even found homes!

It's nice to see "The attitude" sometimes, but Garfield's creator Mr. Davis, has to realize that Garfield is a real influential character...an American icon, and he needs to show that cats are loving souls, not the selfish, uncaring cats that the cat haters or Cat-a-Phobics like to depict them as being.

This new Garfield show is doing a good job of that...showing Garfield's true side.
