I just finished the book yesterday! I didn't really know much about Gargoyles going in and wasn't surprised to start learning right away. Susan has a wonderful way of writing that is interesting and conversational. This book touches on all aspects of Gargoyles from history to modern use. She also brings to the surface many ways we can use Gargoyle energy in our daily lives.

Bravo and well done! Check this book out, you will not be sorry!

This is definitely a must have book. I have read it through twice now since I got it and I am sure, I will find even more that I missed the next time around. The book is fascinating, Professor Moonwriter not only gives you the history of gargoyles, but blends in a history of the times, gives you tidbits of interesting information and the flow and manner of writing make it a pleasure to read. Whether you are an aspiring wizard or just interested in gargoyles this is a great book. And whether you are 9 or 99 you will enjoy reading it.

Gargoyles is the definitive book on the captivating subject of the mysterious stone creatures that guard both ancient and modern buildings. This excellent book not only describes in great detail the types of gargoyles that can be seen in architecture, but the historical context and the fabric of society in which these marvelous creations emerged, all the way to modern times. The author describes the many Medieval artisans that made up the building trades, including a catalogue of the tools they work with. This would be a handy reference book for writers, re-enactors and historians. It is well written, rich in detail, and the author's obvious fascination with the subject keeps it an interesting read all the way through. Pesznecker's book is a must read for anyone fascinated with the intriguing subject of gargoyles.
