Nice sunglasses,
This review is from: Gargoyles Men's Cardinal Sport Sunglasses (Apparel)
I was looking for sunglasses for work that didn't interfere with my peripheral vision, had ballistic protection, and had a tint other then grey, which I found to be a bit depressing in cloudy weather. I got the green lens Cardinals and they are great. They work really well in snow conditions, helping to reduce glare and increase contrast. I've worn them in full sun to cloudy weather and they work well. I read one online review say the green tint was too dark. I haven't found that to be true at all. The green tint is subtle, more like a greenish/grey. It still took a couple days to get used to the tint but now I don't even think about it. The nosepiece is very easy to adjust. After a day or two I adjusted it just the way I want and they are now very comfortable. It's a nice change from sunglasses that say they have an adjustable nosepiece but only an optician can do it. The styling definitely says you are wearing Gargoyles. That isn't all bad. Kind of retro in a way. The lens coverage is excellent, about as good as you will get without wearing a one piece lens style which, in my opinion, is only appropriate if you are in the military, actively playing a sport, or have a mullet. I haven't seen any sign of fogging even when I go back and forth between a warm building and the cold (well below freezing), in and out of a car, etc. Not saying they won't fog. I'm sure they will, but I haven't seen it yet. I suspect the ventilation helps and the fact the lens doesn't sit as close to your eyes as, say, Oakley half-jackets. I had a pair of those and they were more prone to fogging. Build quality looks good. Lens clarity is very good. They are made in China, which I didn't know until I had them in hand. I would prefer if they were made elsewhere even if it meant they were more expensive.
