1.0 out of 5 stars Questionable origin
The website of the distributor, Chattem, admits in the FAQ that the garlic in this product comes from China and that they are uncertain whether it is grown organically or not! I truly appreciated this honesty. I will not put in my body anything whose production is uncertain even to the distributors, particularly from areas with such a history of food contamination...

I truly appreciated this honesty. I will not put in my body anything whose production is uncertain even to the distributors, particularly from areas with such a history of food contamination. Remember deadly melamine in pet food and infants' milk formula, lead-painted toys, and fish (tilapia) farmed in polluted water?

I have taken a lot of Garlic pills in my life and well I figured I would try these folks and see if they were any good. I found they were great for lowering my blood pressure ever so slightly but when I would take these in the morning with breakfast I found that I could taste and feel the garlic in my lungs before it was lunch time. Aside from the garlic breath I felt in my lungs and throat this was good for my heart. We all know if you want to be and live healthy in life you have to make a sacrifice so some garlic breath is not bad at all. I am sure these results will vary with different users.
