Great strap,

I have had a Garmin 205 for about a year now. My wife and I both did not like the rubber strap provided so we bought a replacement strap. I looked everywhere for a velcro/fast-wrap that you did not have to remove the pins to download/charge the gps. You won't find one out there. This strap is great: stays in place, resists moisture/sweat, easy to fasten. Garmin's website doesn't descirbe this either: you can just slip the charging unit between the strap and watch; it's great. The was the best $10 I have spent in a long time. Keep running.

All the reviews about this item are spot on. Easy to attach to my 305 and WAY more comfortable than the rubber strap that comes standard with the unit. The holes on the rubber strap were just off for me. One notch to tight or one notch to loose. The velcro strap can be adusted to exactly the level of comfort you desire. The charging cradle fits easily under the gps without removing the strap and as a small added bonus, the strap has reflective strips for dark runs. Ok, they are VERY small reflective strips but hey, every bit helps. Highly recommend this product and it's way less expensive here than from Garmin.

Must have!,

Makes it possible to wear the ForeRunner outside the sleeve of your jacket - the extender even makes it fit outside several layers of clothing and above the wrist.
I used the ForeRunner to navigate home on ski through whiteout conditions in the mountains - having it on my arm so that I could see it all the time without having to take off my gloves or put aside my skiing poles. In -10 degrees C (14 degrees F) that is kind of nice. Looking for a really useful GPS unit? Make sure you can use it in really cold conditions without freezing your fingers to icicles ... For normal use, I find this strap works much better than the regular plastic wrist strap which comes with the unit, and is very comfortable - especially on sweaty skin. Note: I would not recommend the ForeRunner as your only or primary wilderness GPS (one reason being that the battery is not replaceable). And don't leave home without a map and a compass - and the knowledge to use them ...
