5.0 out of 5 stars Great strap
I have had a Garmin 205 for about a year now. My wife and I both did not like the rubber strap provided so we bought a replacement strap. I looked everywhere for a velcro/fast-wrap that you did not have to remove the pins to download/charge the gps. You won't find one out there. This strap is great: stays in place, resists moisture/sweat, easy to fasten. Garmin's...

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not work with cradle
The wrist strap works well on the wrist. But once you want to place the unit on the cradle for charging or dowloading, you can't as it does not fit. Some reviewers say you can slip the cradle between the strap and the unit but this is not possible. I have to remove the unit from the one of the strap sides using the provided tool to place on cradle. I think I will be...

Garmin's website doesn't descirbe this either: you can just slip the charging unit between the strap and watch; it's great. The was the best $10 I have spent in a long time. Keep running.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Comfortable, November 2, 2009

All the reviews about this item are spot on. Easy to attach to my 305 and WAY more comfortable than the rubber strap that comes standard with the unit. The holes on the rubber strap were just off for me. One notch to tight or one notch to loose. The velcro strap can be adusted to exactly the level of comfort you desire. The charging cradle fits easily under the gps without removing the strap and as a small added bonus, the strap has reflective strips for dark runs. Ok, they are VERY small reflective strips but hey, every bit helps. Highly recommend this product and it's way less expensive here than from Garmin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have!, February 16, 2009

Makes it possible to wear the ForeRunner outside the sleeve of your jacket - the extender even makes it fit outside several layers of clothing and above the wrist.

I used the ForeRunner to navigate home on ski through whiteout conditions in the mountains - having it on my arm so that I could see it all the time without having to take off my gloves or put aside my skiing poles. In -10 degrees C (14 degrees F) that is kind of nice. Looking for a really useful GPS unit? Make sure you can use it in really cold conditions without freezing your fingers to icicles ...

For normal use, I find this strap works much better than the regular plastic wrist strap which comes with the unit, and is very comfortable - especially on sweaty skin.

Note: I would not recommend the ForeRunner as your only or primary wilderness GPS (one reason being that the battery is not replaceable). And don't leave home without a map and a compass - and the knowledge to use them ...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Strap for the 305, December 6, 2010

This strap is great for the 305. I had read other reviews about this strap and some say that it does not work well with the cradle when uploading or plugging into the computer. All you have to do is loosen the strap under the watch (no big deal) and it works great! It is very comfortable! I would definitely recommend this strap.

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not work with cradle, May 31, 2010

The wrist strap works well on the wrist. But once you want to place the unit on the cradle for charging or dowloading, you can't as it does not fit. Some reviewers say you can slip the cradle between the strap and the unit but this is not possible. I have to remove the unit from the one of the strap sides using the provided tool to place on cradle. I think I will be ordering the original wrist band as my problem was that it broke from overtightening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Garmin 305!, October 13, 2011

I have had my Garmin 305 for about 2 years and have gone through 2 wrist bands. As a woman, I had to tighten the wrist band quite a bit, and I think the pressure caused the band to crack and eventually break through. I love the velcro fastener ~ it adjusts perfectly to my wrist! I also expect it to last quite a bit longer than the band style. I have no problem slipping it quite easily onto the charger.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than the original rubber band, July 10, 2011

After two sets of rubber band were broken within a year, I finally determined to buy this product. The reason for my hesitation is that it smells after a while in warm weather due to sweat absorption(I bought one for my husband last year). My suggestion is to buy two set to alternate for cleaning.
It fits my Garmin Forerunner 205. I don't have any problem charging my watch. I can insert the charger under the watch easily. It also secures the watch on my small wrist nicely.

4.0 out of 5 stars Garmin Wrist Strap, February 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Gps, Hook-and-loop Fastener Wrist (Accessory)
This writs strap is a good replacement for the rubber strap supplied with my Garmin 305 watch. It was easy to install (Garmin supplied the tools and pins for it). The only issue with this product, at least for me, is that I have big wrists and the strap would be better if it was about 1/2" longer. As it is now, there is about 1" of the strap that goes through the buckle and fastens on the velcro. I think it is secure enough, but I would like to see it just a little longer. Overall I am happy with the product, and for a smaller person it would be perfect.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for the Garmin 405!!, September 18, 2010

I purchased this strap to replace the wrist band on my Garmin Forerunner 405. While the strap is very comfortable and is as advertised, the product description doesn't specify that it's not for the 405. In order to change out the strap on the 405, you need special hard plastic adapters. Amazon DOES sell this but it's just a little more expensive than this model - I bought it and it's EXACTLY the same product as this one.
