This vehicle power cord is for the Oregon and Colorado models. I got it for my Oregon 400T. It is fine except for the 90 degree angle of the plugin to the GPS. When plugged in to the GPS the cord faces forward toward you, so the cord is in front (at the bottom) of the GPS when you are using it. Why didn't Garmin make a straight connector so the cord points down, or a 90 degree plug that positions the cord to the rear of the GPS? Do they know something I don't? Maybe a car mount device requires it this way, or, as with the carry case they supply (read my review), the power cord was designed for the Colorado model and just applied to the Oregon model. The power cord is over 5 feet long.

Great vehicle power cable. The 90 degree front facing plug-in allow the cable to be used in the Garmin Marine Mount. If you have that mount, it makes perfect sense. I use this with my Oregon 400t with LakeMaster Lake Maps installed on it. I have the Garmin Marine Mount on my fishing boat and use the power cable to plug the Oregon into an auxilary power plug in my boat. When combined with the aforementioned, it turns my Oregon 400t into a great GPS for fishing and marine use. Tested under field condtions and works flawlessly. I'd highly recommend this power cable!

After I bought this I noticed there were identical cables at Best Buy for alot cheaper prices. It works but I'd advise looking around as this is a utilitarian common device that doesn't require name brand or special quality.

This is a must have, unless you want to keep feeding your Garmin GPS batteries.

The vehicle power cable works great and saves the NiMH batteries from discharging while the Oregon is plugged in. I really like that the plug has a red light on it that clearly indicates that the unit is getting power. The price was great for genuine Garmin. Delivery was just as promised. I would definitely order from this supplier again in the future.

I reserve 5 Stars for the extraordinaire NOT the ordinary. A product that lives up to its hype and does just what I expected it to do rates 3 Stars.

Like another reviewer, I find the 90 degree angle of the connection to the GPSr a poor design decision. It make it quite awkward to plug in my Garmin Oregon 600. I find myself fumbling around longer than it should take. Since I use my GPSr for Geocaching, I'm often disconnecting/reconnecting my unit as I jump in and out of my vehicle. Additionally, for my paticualr vehicle, the cup holder is directly beow the power socket. The length of the power plug extending well into the area over the cup holder effectively makes the cup holder unusable. A 90 degree angle at this end would be rather useful.

Having had a few power cables for my various GPSr's, the true test would be based on how long the connections, at both ends, last before needing replacement. Over the years I've replaced about 6 power cords, always because a connector failed, so I find it hard to make a fully valid assessment until some time has passed. Until then, I'll say I "think" I got my monies worth, nothing more and hopefully nothing less.

Works great as a replacement to my original Garmin cable. The only thing to be careful of is the 90 degree connector end is a bit fatter than the original, so you may have an issue depending on how you mount your unit.
