This case is rugged and shock absorbent. I've had many different cloth and neoprene cases in the past, and they just don't live up to this one.

I don't usually post reviews for products, but this case made it through a summer in Canada and some fall hunting so far. I believe it has "saved" my GPS from damage at least on 4 different occasions. I have been using this case on my Garmin GPSmap 76c since May of 2006.

The GPS fits snuggly (but not too tightly) and the zipper seam makes it easy to remove for battery replacement and connection to a computer for uploads and downloads. The extra long strap fit nicely around my large neck, and beats the heck out of wrist straps (the strap can be adjusted so it can be used as wrist strap if desired). The case provide a non-slip grip as well.

Well worth the price.

The only con I can come up with--It would be nice if a piece of REAL glass were attached over the viewing opening (as it is now there is no covering here) to protect the screen. Those plastic screen covers just don't work for me.

It would be nice if this cover was made for other models as well--as it is now, only the Garmin 72-76 families are included.

This case has an interesting design. There is no clear vinyl window covering the screen like most other cases. These vinyl windows usually scratch and get clouded over time. With this case, you place a screen protector right onto the GPS itself. If it gets scratched over time, it can be easily replaced.

The screen and control buttons are slightly recessed below the case surface which further helps to protect these critical areas. The case fits snug, protects well and is well made.

As far as the Foarm company, one of the clear screens (they send 2 with each case) was slightly damaged in shipping. I called them and they happily sent me extras and refused to take a payment.

If you're looking for a good case, I'd seriously consider this one.

Foarm's product is superior to anything I've seen! I purchased the molded woven fabric case for my Garmin 76CSX and I'm very impressed with not only the protective properties of the case but also the design which allows you to fully utilize all functions of your GPS while the unit remains in the protective case. Don't waste your time with a case that simply holds your GPS and requires you to remove the GPS in order to use it.

ps. The shipping on this thing was crazy fast!!! I think someone from Foarm must've jumped on a plane from CA to PA and threw it in my mailbox!

My Sixteen year old daughter wanted to borrow my GPS to go hiking and I feared that she might return it in the same condition that she did my car.
I bought this Foarm case to protect my investment.
When she returned it, the case was a little roughed up but my GPS was scratchless.
If those guys at Foarm could only make a cover for my BMW!

Seems reallly rugged. I haven't used yet. Fits GPS great. Sprayed a little water sealant on cloth zipper. Don't know if that was necessary as it has a nice tight fit and GPS is water resistant anyway. Only outlet for this product seems to be Amazon.

This is the best case I have had for my GPS map. The unit fits snug inside like a glove. Very durable and can withstand abuse like dropping, abrasion. I have not tryed out the floatation yet, but I am sure it has some bouyancy. Well worth the $$$.

Nice case. Fits like a glove and is very well made. Heavy-duty zipper. This case provides the protection required for a GPS that is bounced around a cockpit and tossed in coamings. Flexible lanyard solution and belt loop. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this case so when I'm Geocaching, it can hang around my neck (so much better than setting it down on a log and forgetting it!).

It works well for that; while the GPS *is* a tad heavy to leave around my neck all the time, I can hang it there while my hands are busy searching, and hold the GPS while navigating. It's hung upside down, which is ideal -- you just lift the GPS to read it, and then drop it again, without having to turn it around.

The slightly rubberized feel to the case is also nice; it kind of "clings" to things when you set it on them, even if it's the angled hood of a car, or a slanted log or stump. It just clings there like a sticky frog.

I do wish this case offered the option of a belt-clip as well, but I knew when I bought it that it didn't, so that's not a star-costing issue.

I also wish there were other color options. The brown is okay, but black would be more 'fashionable' even if it didn't come in an array of other colors. It's a smidge on the ugly side.

This is in reality as cool as it looks. It's every bit as tough as it looks. And it's worth every penny. It's a one-time expense insurance policy for your expensive GPS.

I was looking for a rugged waterproof floating case that I didn't have to unzip to use the GPS. This foarm case is up to the task. Included lanyard allows GPS unit to be worn FUNCTIONALLY around your neck, will also attach to a belt if desired. It fits my 76csx like a glove but easily unzips for battery changes and map downloads. "Peel and stick" screen protector was easy to apply with included detailed instructions. A plastic carabiner type clip is also included to attach to a pack or kayak.
A great functional as well as aesthetcally pleasing product
