I'm on a 3 month RV trip traveling to Florida. I like the weather alerts that tell you where you are relative to the alert, I like the RV routing and the updated maps and points of interest like gas stations. This replaced an older Garmin, so I like the directions logic.
However, especially in metropolitan areas, it tends to freeze, but not tell you it's having an issue. You keep going waiting for a voice prompt for a turn, then look at the map display and realize it's back at your last turn. You have to return to the map main menu then go to the map display again, and then it recalculates your route.

Not sure if it's a bug, but if it keeps doing this I will talk to Garmin about it.
UPDATE: I downloaded a software update that seems to have resolved the freeze issues.

We bought this for use in our Tiffin Allegro and its fantastic to have an up to date GPS specifically for an RV. I realize that this is a new application for the Garmin trucking line but it works great just like the Zumo I have for my motorcycles Garmin has done a fantastic job of tailoring for the intended user. It is easy to set this up for the specifics of your RV and to also switch into the auto mode. The Bluetooth interface with my iPhone works great and the weather data is fantastic (especially the radar presentation). The only small recommendation I have is that you probably want one of the "bean bag" mounts as for most RV's the suction cup mount on the windshield is probably too far away for easy use.

My wife and I used this RV GPS on our trip from CT to FL, and it worked flawlessly! We have a 26' long Chalet Truck Camper when sitting on my Ford F350 dually, and it is 12'-3" tall. It routed us, with our guidance, across Rt 64 W to Scranton, PA, then down 81 to 77 to 95 completely missing any traffic or low bridges! What we particularly liked is that when the speed limit changed, a tone sounded and a small banner on top notified you of the change, and how soon. Also, a similar banner appeared when you were 5 miles from a state border. One of the nicest features is a 'rolling exit'. This happened only a couple of times, but it was when the exit was particularly challenging, and it simulated 'moving' lanes, not a static picture, and which one to be in to take the correct exit - spectacular!!' Another great feature was the 'pop up gas/bank/food' icons along the route. I also checked out numerous campgrounds, and they were all listed, with full site information including telephone numbers to make reservations! I have had several Garmin GPS's, and this one is truly the best, and clearly embodies all the best features from its previous generations! Would highly recommend!

First of all I am not new to Garmin products so the reason I bought Garmin is that I have had pretty good success and service from Garmin on their products that I have purchased over the years. in 2012 we bought a Travel Trailer and I was about to take it on a long trip from Indiana to Florida and then probably over to Texas and I noticed that Garmin had a new RV Navigator out. What is nice about this RV 760LMT model is you can program in the size of your RV, in our case a travel trailer, and it will try and avoid areas where RV's of this size should not be or should not go. So far we have been successful with that feature as I have been in some pretty tight places in the past not having that feature and with a 34 foot travel trailer backing up is not fun. This model also allows you to switch back to automobile mode when I do not have the Travel Trailer connected which is a good feature. This model has a different connection than the other Garmin's I have and I am not sure if they are switching to this type of mount or if it is because of the size of this Navigator, it is HUGE is all I can say but traveling with a travel trailer that is a nice feature to have in place. The only thing I can say that is bad about it is the RV Parks in their directory is apparently not very complete. The RV Park we are currently staying at in Tampa Florida area is not in the directory. About half of the RV parks I was looking at staying at are NOT in the directory. I am not sure who they got the directory from but they need to upgrade this feature of it because people without a smart phone don't have the ability to put in addresses when their RV park is not listed in the directory.Read more ›

I've always been a Garmin fan and was thrilled to discover that Garmin had developed an RV specific GPS. I purchased the Garmin RV 760LMT and tried it out on local streets while driving my car. All went well.
About a week ago we embarked on our annual winter trek with our 41' motorhome and towed vehicle.
So far... EPIC FAIL!
First off, the unit doesn't have an option to enter our RV's propane capacities. So it will route us into restricted tunnels.
Of the eight locations we've entered into the GPS, the RV 760 has correctly led us to two!
We entered a truck stop that unit suggested. We followed the direction off the interstate and immediately got that sinking feeling that we would not find a truck stop in this residential neighborhood. Then the unit pinged and advised us that we would be 'navigating off-road' for 1.2 miles! In a 41' motorhome! When we got close to our 'truck stop' we found ourselves looking at a funeral home.
Another recommended truck stop turned out to be a convenience stop with fuel pumps. This one was impossible to access with our rig. And yes, the unit is in RV mode with all the correct parameters correctly entered.
It's disconcerting to be driving along the recommended route and get a message that says, 'Unknown if current route is suitable for your RV'. Oh my freaking Lord, I bought this thing to keep me on routes suitable for my RV!
Today the camel's back shattered. I entered tomorrow's destination into the unit. When I reviewed the route, I lost it! Had we followed the recommended route we would have driven down a long, narrow, winding road, down a steep hill to a ferry. This ferry has a 5 ton limit! I know this because we just happened to go out for a drive today and happened to be on that particular road.
