Compatible models include the Garmin StreetPilot, ColorMap, eMap, and GPSMAP 295.
With the USB data card programmer, you can download map information from a MapSource CD-ROM to your computer, then from your computer to the data card. The programmer is powered by the USB cable and downloads at speeds up to 1.5 MB per second. To use the programmer, you need a PC with a Pentium processor with 16 MB RAM, a CD-ROM drive, Windows 98 or 2000 (Windows 95 and NT not supported), and an available USB port.
To use the programmer, first plug the USB connector at the end of the cable to either one of your computer's USB ports. The programmer is hot-pluggable, so you don't need to turn off your computer during installation. Next, install the device drivers on your hard drive from the included CD-ROM. Then download map data onto your hard drive from a MapSource CD-ROM. Insert a blank data card into the programmer and transfer the data. Then plug the data card into your GPS unit for an in-depth map of a specific area.
