I purchased my FOARM "E-Z-Grip - All Terrain" GPS case for my Garmin 76CSx last month, and I am very happy with it. In my opinion, this case and the other two FOARM cases on the market (the "Hikers & Kayakers" case, and the "Non-Skid Marine" case), are superior to those made by other companies. I researched for several months, looking for a good case to protect my GPS investment. I found the "E-Z-Grip-All Terrain" FOARM case to be much more protective than the rather-thin nylon case made by Garmin, which costs a little less, but provides much less protection. In addition to its thicker, better construction, the FOARM cases allow one to use the GPS while it is still in the case. The Garmin case, on the other hand, requires one to remove the unit from the case to read the GPS.
All three FOARM cases come with an excellent nylon lanyard and a strong plastic clip that allows one to clip the unit anywhere for extra security. I find this particularly useful while river-running, as I can clip my GPS to my raft and know that it won't get bounced off while bouncing through a Class IV rapid.
This FOARM case is very-well made, and the rubberized exterior feels durable and is easy to hold. The clear screen protector included with the case is a nice finishing touch by FOARM, protecting the GPS screen, which is the most delicate part of the GPS. In my experience, the GPS screen inevitably gets scratched without a protective cover, and the screen protector included with the FOARM case works very well.
I am an avid mountain biker, back-packer, white-water rafter, and skier, and I can rest assured that my Garmin 76CSx is well-protected while adventuring, thanks to my FOARM protective case for the unit. I highly recommend this case to anyone using their Garmin GPS for outdoor activities.

This is the third case I've purchased for my Garmin GPS 76 and it is by far the best. Superb design, top-notch quality! Case fits like a glove. Screen protector offers crystal clear protection. Excellent customer service.

The textured case made the GPS easy to grip when wet.
It also dried quickly (the foam and rubber are impervious to water).
I highly recommend this case to anyone using their Garmin GPS for water sports!

UPDATE: 3-22-2008 I'm still glad I found this. Much better than anything on the market. My GPS has been dropped numerous times and it is nick free. The soft rubber absorbs the impact. I notice that Amazon has associated this review to the camo printed case. I have the all-black case and I have no idea why I can no longer find the black case anymore on here. I really doubt the black was discontinued and replaced with a camo design.

I stumbled over this while looking for the Garmin brand GPS case. I'm glad I found the Foarm brand one. It is the best protection when the GPS gets dropped on hard surfaces or in the water. Your GPS will still float! Fits like a wetsuit. Comes with replaceable protective overlay for the display. I suggest getting others (for PDAs) and use the one included as a template. Integrated lanyard and safety clip. The pefect design. ...and you will drop it!

Your GPS deserves one of these. It is a high quality exact molded fit to my 76csx. I spoke to a company rep who explained to me that the grey vs black case is just a color difference. The grey is a bit better suited to marine use due to its color if it falls overboard. In response to the screen covers, I installed it correctly and still think it hinders visibility slightly, but it'll do until I find a better material. However the second screencover will act as a perfect template.

I own a Garmin GPSMap 76cx which accompanies me on many wilderness canoe trips in northern Canada and I needed a rugged case to protect it from many potential perils. The Foarm all terrain case is perfect. It's rigid, non-slip and a perfect fit. The case stands proud of both the GPS buttons and the screen, protecting both from damage in a fall. It fits perfectly, does not interfere with GPS operation, does not obscure the screen and is a cinch to put on/take off. I imagine the other Foarm cases are of equal quality.
Communications, sevice and delivery from Foarm were top notch. An excellent purchase in every respect.

I first came across the Foarm case when looking for the Garmin case online at Amazon.com. I decided on Foarm because of its excellent reviews by users and the protective screen cover which meant I wouldn't have to take the GPS unit out of the case to look at it, unlike the Garmin case. When I received the case I was immediately impressed by its lightweight and sense of durability. Except for some of the text next to the buttons being covered up by the case, I was also impressed by the precision fit. At first I was disappointed to see that the protective screen was not integrated with the case (apparently I didn't read the description close enough) but soon realized the benefit of only having to replace the protector and not the whole case. A true example of a product designed with the consumer in mind. The lanyard clip is also of good design and quality and came in handy when I clipped it to the zipper to create a looped enclosure around my backpack's shoulder and chest strap, which minimized the units swinging motion. My wifes only complaint was that she thought it was ugly. I told her that its job is to keep the GPS beautiful. But it is unfortunate that more color options are not offered through Amazon.

From the photo, it almost looks like the Foarm GPS case is made of a soft foam-like material. Fortunately, this isn't true at all! It is made of a durable rubber that compares to the spray on liner material put in truck beds - tough and very easy to grip (even when wet). As for fit, it's perfect for my 76 CSx. The Foarm case also comes with several laminate screen protectors to stick over the GPS screen to prevent scratches.

I bought this case to take my Etrex Vistra HCX with me when hiking. I used it a few times now, on short hikes (few hours max). Here's my impression:

Case is very robust, yet not too bulky (I don't want to carry a brick around). No problem at all when it gets wet; just let it dry. The buttons are not blocked by the case in any way. Screen protector is very good as well. No chance of moisture between the cover and the GPS screen. Putting it on was a bit fiddly but I managed to get it right first time.
The metal clip at the back works well too and is very durable. I use it to clip the GPS to the shoulder straps of my rucksack.

I used the carabiner as a safety cord, to prevent me from dropping the GPS when I operating it. I could do without the cord though.

One practical issue I'm still experimenting what works best; when I have the GPS clipped to my shoulder straps it is difficult to read the GPS screen, so I have to take it off each time I want to look at it. Last time I used the GPS I clipped the GPS upside down on the waist belt. When I then want to look at the screen I just loosen that belt and tilt the GPS upwards. A carabiner mount like the one from Garmin might be more practical in this resepct, but I did not buy that one because I don't like the GPS swinging around while I'm walking.

In short: highly recommended; fair price.

Well I wouldn't shoot it but after hiking, kayaking, camping, and just day tripping with my GPS in this case, I have to say it is seriously indestructible! I actually dropped the thing and it was run over by a mountain bike, it has taken the rocks in the kayak. It is just a "WOW" accessory! The only thing I think could be re-engineered, is the way it opens and closes but as often as I do this, it's fine for me. If these guys made a bed liner for my truck, I'd get it!
