Turns out you can't look at the laps in any of your runs without hooking up to a computer. That should have been noted in the description since all older models allowed you to look. Dropping that feature was a mistake. (They did say it didn't have virtual running partner; dropping that was OK.) It did come with all the adapters to recharge the unit from a variety of European electrical outlets, which was an unexpected bonus.

the garmin forerunner is a nice little watch if you need to know your heart rate and distance. the only bad thing about it is that it does not have any 'heart rate zone' that you can set. users ended up lifting up their hands to their face to see the heart rate every few seconds and that is really something that gets irritating. really bad. it only take a few lines of codes to add the 'heart rate zones' to the garmin. the auto lap can be taken out as its quite useless unless you need to view how you are doing. those trainning meffatone method should stay away from this watch for its lack of 'heart rate zone' setup.
