I drove in Yucatan about 500 miles. 50% of the time it showed me as if I am off road. The map is correct for 1980 (I have 2012 edition. In contrast Google map was updated a week after the road was paved.) The routing capability in the city is abysmal you better ignore it. In Mexico left turn is disallowed, the GPS constantly prompt you to do so. Initially I found myself driving against the traffic. When you look for a major hotel (Fiesta Americana)in Merida (population 100000) it directs you 300Km away.

Used this for a trip from Los Angeles to San Felipe Mexico on the Garmin Nuvi 265wt. Now I will just write this about the Map (on a side note if you dont known where you are going dont just rely on this have a back up plan. Sometimes certain Garmin units will take you out of your way and in Mexico this could send you in an unwanted area or a wrong way) I had been there once before but planned on going back so I got this just in case. You do have to change the country when you are attempting to look up a Mexico address but I encountered one issue entering the address that was given to me by the gated community I was going to, garmin kept saying location not found. so I then just turned it on in Mexicali about 5 miles outside the border. All functions seemed to work just fine. Nearest locations worked pretty well also. I could tell it food or gas and it found it all. I did not exprect it to have some of the smaller locations listed but that was ok. The ride from the border is about 3 hours in. It did have all the hwy numbers and names and as you got to the federal check point just outside of San Felipe it came up looking on the map like a large intersection. When I came up on the gated community I saved the location at the gate and then save it when I went through as the home is about 2miles into the community. I saved that as well. going into towan and the beach areas it worked find when told to return to the home. I would say I am pleased for a community like this but the test would be a densly populated city.
