About the Author

Jason O'Grady developed an affinity for Apple computers after using the original Lisa and in 1984 he got a 128k Mac. He started writing one of the first daily Apple online publications (O'Grady's PowerPage) in 1995. After winning a major legal battle with Apple in 2006 O'Grady set a precedent that independent journalists are entitled to the same protections under the first amendment as the main stream media. He has written for the 8th and 9th editions of the MacBible (PeachPit Press) and has contributed to major Mac publications including a staff position at MacWEEK. His first book, Corporations That Changed The World: Apple, Inc. comes out in the fall of 2008.

This is good, easy to follow and learn to use. One read through the pocket guide and you're nearly an expert. All the ways to use Gps are here and easy to understand.

My Garmin 255W is extremely easy to learn and use however, the Garmin Nuvi Pocket Guide provides insight into many functions that go beyond the basics. Like the Garmin unit itself this guide book is easy to read and clearly explains everything you'd want to know about the GPS unit.

The Garmin nuvi paocket guide had some very useful hints for me that i could use on my new Garmin nuvi 775. I was telling my friends and coworkers that also have Garmin nuvis about all these little hints and tips that they didn't realize their nuvi could do. Also I refer back to it when ever I forget how to save a new POI (Point of Interest)for speed traps or find diffrent functions on the nuvi. A lot of things that are in there are also in the instruction manual online, but it is written a little better in this book. Worth the money.
