I have been able to purchase these disks before from various stores ( Best Buy for example), and have installed them in 3 of my cars with no problems. However, after driving all round nobody seems to carry these anymore.
The two disks that I ordered from Amazon did not work! I carefully cleaned the dash area with alcohol as usual, let it dry, and installed the disks only to find that they fell off almost immediately. There is hardly any stick on these pads.
Probably the Chinese are saving a few cents on the adhesive they are using on these latest versions.

I can save you time right now - There is very little chance you are going to find this at Walmart, or Car Toys, or Fry's, or any other brick-and-mortar store (but maybe you live somewhere near a store that actually carries it - if so, then you're very lucky). I looked and everyone I asked either couldn't understand what I was talking about, or said that they don't carry it. So, just order this online - you get two. They work as expected. No complaints. Not much else to say.

This disc provides the flat smooth surface needed for a suction cup on a Garmin Nuvi or other navigation system. The trick is to get it to stick to the surface of your vehicle. The adhesive on the back of the disc isn't up to the task. A tube of super-glue gel type adhesive did the job though. You need one of these discs since hardly any vehicle has a flat smooth surface.

I received this item quickly after purchasing. The discs are perfect for mounting the Garmin Nuvi 350 (& others) on the dash. I have used these before, but I sold my car, so bought new ones. The part that sticks to the dash is very permanent -- I've never had one come loose.

I recently two Garmin GPS dashboard disks. I was glad to see that I could get only the disks since if you go somewhere like best buy they only them in packages with the winshield mount. Unfortunely, when I tried to mount the disks to my dashboard they had no stickiness to them. Therefore, I would not buy this product from this seller again.

The sticky backing may work on smooth surfaces but may fail on lot of textured dashboards. The best thing I found is to mount it permanently. Remove the backing, sand the bottom side a little and apply some clear RTV silicone. Let it cure for about half day. Don't get any RTV on top surface. The disc can be used by next person owning the car. If you are having trouble with the suction cup coming off, just put a little "moisture" on the suction cup.

I loved the fact that 2 discs came in a pack and for such a great price.
