The mount is very nicely designed. It holds the Treo securely yet allows the phone to pivot. Easy to remove from the windshield so no one knows it is in the car.

this mount works however my pda did not fit into it it was too big. i cut down the rubber on the sides of the mount so i can just barely squeeze my palm tungsten e2 into it

This is a decent product aside from the fact that it's called a "dashboard mount" but the adhesive will NOT stick to a dashboard. After 30 minutes (and thoughtful consideration as to how I'll get my money back) I realized that the mount is designed to stick to the windshield. So strike #1 is...the product name is misleading. Next, the mount tends to fall off of the windshield during times of excessive heat/cold. On a really cold morning, I expect to see it on the floorboard of my truck. Likewise, on a hot afternoon it'll be in a similar position. Despite my groaning, it is a neat little product I guess.

I hardly give 5 star reviews unless something about a product surprises me.

I wanted to find a mount for my iphone that can be used with my case (Griffin Clarifi) and my Garmin Friction mount.

Pro's: Works with most cell phone. iPhone (with case) does fit but it just fits. Good quality (not one of those cheap eBay units). Fits onto Garmin Friction mount but (See Cons)

Cons: Its a struggle to put your device in this (almost have to use 2 hands). Only fits Garmin Friction mount horizontally.

This works fine with the long stem windsheild suction mount (included).

Overall, I'm happy with the purchase

One of the plastic clips broke the very first day. Two more broke over the next few days. The dashboard mount was useless, it simply would not stick. It did stick to the windshield, but on one hot summer day, the suction cup (which was black) melted to the hot windshield and after that it would not stick anymore. I replaced this unit with a "Mobile Grip-It" windshield mount (with a clear suction cup) from Walmart which works much better.

The Garmin SOFTWARE is great, but this mount is NOT.

High quality windshield suction and it grips PDA very nicely!
My only wish is that the swivel ball that holds the back plate had a little more range of motion.

Let me first say, don't pay $50 for this product! I bought this from Amazon a week ago and it shipped from GizmosForLife for $16. Now it's shipping from another company for $50 and that's garbage. This is a great product for $16 but don't get screwed and pay $50 by shipping from Toyz who generally are a rip off.

The phone/PDA mount works great but I don't know why Amazon is charging $52.99 when you can buy directly from Garmin for $24.99.
