I purchased this car charger for my Garmin nuvi 650. I am seeing a compatibility issue. During charging, sometimes the GPS goes into the PC connect mode (which uses the same port). This happens abruptly and I have had to disconnect the cable and restart the GPS. I wouldn't recommend buying this cable for a nuvi 650. Its probably worth to buy the regular power adapter (expensive compared to this) that comes with the nuvi.
