This adapter works well, but I have concerns about the durability of the cable itself (not the connectors). The wire is very light guage and does not have the outer cover that the OEM adapter has.

Edited/updated review: The item shipped IS NOT the same as pictured in the product listing. The cable does not have an outer jacket and consists of two very thin wires with light-weight insulation. After just 11 months of moderate-to-light use, the cable frayed and broke just where it enters the 12-volt power connector for the cigarette lighter socket. I don't believe this adapter is worth the money and would not purchase this product again.

I purchased one of these replacement power cords last October through Amazon. I was surprised to see how thin the cord was --not the same thinkness as the original Garmin cord. Despite this, I used the cord through the Winter only to have it break one morning due to the cold temperature. While I do live in New England, I still would not expect a car power cord to literally snap due to cold weather brittleness. I've never had this issue with any other mobile power cord. I attempted to contact the seller in February asking for a refund but never received any response. I ended up buying an original equipment Garmin power cord from ebay, which works fine. A bit more expensive but worth the little extra cost. Don't waste your money with this product or seller.

I ordered this in July for my Garmin c340 and it worked just as it was supposed to until this morning (in early Feb)when I went to plug it into the cigarette lighter, the cord had completely snapped off of the part that plugs in. I didn't notice any fraying previously, but I guess the wires had been fatiguing inside the insulation. I must say that I am disappointed in the durability of this product since it was well cared for and still only lasted a few months.

We were very unhappy with the quality of this garmin car charger. It worked intermittently for about two weeks then stopped working altogether.

I bought this cord as a replacement for the above GPS model. Since this is an older model, it was difficult to find the exact cord that it came with. This is the cord that fits exactly into the round opening on the GPS and plugs into the car AC adapter. The price was also within reason. Product was delivered quickly.

This worked well in the beginning but, like other reviewers have stated, it broke after only a few months. The biggest problem is that the cord is too short to adequately reach from the charging port to the dashboard where the Garmin sits, creating stress at the insertion point. It broke without warning. However, I'm ordering a second one since this is the only replacement I can find.

It was cheap, but I figured worth a try. But the end broke off within a week. Then I discovered my car lighter/chargers were blown. So not cheap at all.

it works. price is reasonable. however, it is not a "exact" replacement as shown in the picture. wiring is thinner as is insulation. I was hoping to scavenge between old and new so have a "like new" finished product.

This charger worked perfect but like the other reviews said, the chord was too short. I straightened it out and then I thought it really worked perfect except for when my husband wen tto pull the charger out of the plug and ended up pulling the wire out and leaving the end part still in the plug - I just decided to buy a new Garmin instead of replace it again.

So- all in all- it is a cheaply made and only a temporary fix.

I needed a replacement part for my older Streetpilot. Garmin did not have this accessory, but AMAZON did! Works great! Shipped quickly!
