The disk was oval and I needed round, but it was easily cut into a shape that would work.

This is not the disk that is used to mount your gps suction cup. Instead it is adhesive to be used under the disk that your suction cup mounts to. If you are looking for a black plastic disk (dash disk) that has an adhesive backing, look elsewhere.
