It is a bit confusing to use the menu system is odd...
But, it works ok and I use it for marking good fishing holes on a lake. Also good for back tracking to the dock after dark. Practice using it before going out in a boat...

Excellent for walking in the woods. Love the compass. Be sure to put in fresh batteries before starting trip. In fact, carry some with you...
The manual is well written and easy to carry with you with batteries in a zip plastic bag...

The order went smoothly and I received it quickly, but I wanted a camo colored Garmin and when it came, it was yellow.

I gave this to my father as a gift to replace one we gave him maybe 10 years ago. The one is leaps and bounds better than the earlier technology. I gave it to him mid july and he walks 3 miles almost every day with the GPS to track his time and path. I visited in Sept and he just wore out the first set of batteries when I was there. AMAZING. The early GPS would only run 20 hours on 4 AA batteries. This one acquires the satelites quickly too. Nice compact unit with great battery life.

I was very impressed with this product. It works well for what we need it for. As far as the UPS shipping goes, is there a way you could just mail it out via the Post Office? With the UPS, I had to wait 3 extra days to meet up the UPS guy to receive the GPS, as I was out when he delievered all 3 times. That would be my only comment/question.
