When you buy a Legend or Vista Cx you get a screw in adapter for
the back of your GPS so you don't have to replace the back cover.
Attach the supplied bracket and then you can use this auto mount or
the bicycle mount. Just don't use the back supplied with each of
these mounts since you don't need it.

Very strong suction cup provides secure mounting. Quick and easy clip in and release for taking the GPS with you. Product would be better if the pivoting arms were longer and able to swivel sideways. Otherwise, this is a well-designed and quality product.

This windshield bracket sticks well to the window, but it is flimsy. It vibrates too much when the car is in motion. The only way that this can be avoided is to mount it low on the windshield so that the GPS leans against the dash board.

Pretty simple device that can adapt to various windshields and arrangements. Suction cup works great and hold the unit firmly in place. I drive a Chevy Tahoe and this device gives me several mounting location options.

The windshield mounting bracket works great with my legend cx. Many people have said it doesnt work, but all you need is the little clip attatchement that came with your legend cx and it fits right onto this unit. Im glad i bought this because i was real skeptical at first with all the negative reviews about incompatability with legend cx receivers. I assure you, as long as you still have the small clip (comes standard with your legend cx) that screws onto the back of your legend cx you can use this windshield mounting bracket.

I read the earlier reviews suggesting that this suction-cup bracket was better than the other one they make, and got it based on those suggestions., to use with my Garmin Vista CX gps. It works as well as those recommendations suggested. No problems so far, except that it is a bit wiggly when you are fiddling with the buttons. But if you grab the whole unit while fiddling with the buttons, you can obvously stabilize it.

The suction cup has held on to the windshield (which is what I was more worried about). It allows you to position the gps where you want. All and all, it's the way to go.

At first, I was not sure about if this Windshield Mounting Bracket was going to stay in place while I drive trough the streets. However, I was very surprised when I found out that the Bracket stayed put all day going from one place to another, even under some vibration. The suction rubber system is quite strong. It has 2 angles for adjustment, and you can rotate the GPS clockwise/counterclockwise.

Pros: Strong suction rubber system, GPS mounting system
Cons: Lack of a 4th angle for adjustment (the GPS can only be adjusted in the windshield plane, so you can not turn it towards your face for easy viewing - that's why I give 4 stars)

I am very impressed on how this suction bracket works and adjusts to fit any windsheild. I use it with my garmin vista c on long trips in my car.
I dont have any where to mount it on the dash so this solution works out great. The only time it doesnt stick is when it is extremeley cold. Defrost your window first and warm it up and you will have no problems.

I recently purchased an eTrex Vista HCx and since it doesn't fit my dash mount for my 60Cs I needed another mount for my car. I purchased the windshield mount after reading positive reviews here.

My impression after a month or so is that it works fine. I put it on and haven't removed it. It still holds solidly and with surprising little shake. I'm hoping the exposure to sunlight doesn't eventually render the suction cup brittle and useless but so far so good.

I didn't rate the holder five stars because it is too expensive, it should cost about 1/2 or even 1/3 the price.

The suction cup works- only falling off my windscreen about once every two weeks; moreso when it's cold. The adjustments are pretty flexible but it's quite difficult to reach the various knobs once the GPS unit is installed. (Garmin- an extra 1/4" would have been handy). The unit is ridiculously priced for a few flimsy pieces of plastic. The back cover the unit (supplied) does NOT work for the newer eTrexs with micro-SD cards for memory. You have to use the screw which came with your unit and if you've lost that screw- well you are scr*wed. I think Garmin should either provide a back for new users or dramatically lower the price of the unit.
